Dear Mr. President, We are still a free country

Dear Mr. President,
We are still a free country with a constitution and our God-given unalienable individual rights. You can't just order people to purchase your health insurance plan. The congress does not have the constitutional authority to enact your socialist health care plan anyway. The federal government has no authority to involve itself in health care issues.
And your plan is most definitely socialism whether you care to admit it or not. And it's unconstitutional.
But I do love your methodology. No matter what the problem, all we have to do is throw more federal money at it and magically it is solved. Too bad you have no such solution for the national debt.
By the way, if you're such a big believer in "pay go" why are you taking us trillions of dollars deeper into debt with your continued asinine spending habits?
Also, too bad you think the federal government should involve itself in every problem area facing our society. Perhaps you should review the constitution and per chance discover the actual seventeen enumerated powers of the federal government. And while you're at it, please review the tenth amendment and then get your nose out of the people's business.
Regards,
Jim Robinson
P.S.
You're still an idiot.

We are still a free country Not when we have to undergo a strip-search at the airports, we're not. They can call it "virtual", but there's nothing "virtual" about it. When they can see under your clothes, that's an actual strip-search.

If the Commerce Clause were truly intended to be a "blank check", then Congress could theoretically legislate
any area of our lives. Even purely intrastate activities can be theorized (and have been) to have ripple effects on commerce in other states.
In spite of some truly awful Supreme Court decisions (beginning in the 1940's after FDR threatened to pack the Court with socialists), that's not what the Founders intended. Likewise, the "General Welfare" clause. Powers granted to the Federal Government's branches were "enumerated" for a reason. Otherwise, why bother to spell them out and explicitly reserve all other powers "to the states or to the people"?
I have never heard a liberal answer that question well, or honestly. They cannot because as our Founders knew, our rights come from God; we loan power to the government to protect those rights, not to rule us.

I wasn’t born here either American Dream and understand exactly what you’re saying. We’ve been going down this road for decades and are only now awakening. It will take time to reset what they’ve done. We’ve had the town hall meetings and tea parties and that’s only the beginning. There’s a fight in the horizen and I believe the American people will win.

Your mistake was a common one, and not offensive. And congratulations on your command of English. A huge percentage of Americans couldn’t have typed something as coherent as you just posted.
More Americans should be like you.

There was a time when the medical profession had much more respect among the populace than they do now. I think the coldness of the medicare/medicaid bureaucracies and the layers of bureaucrats have soured people on medicine and it practice. Abortion and euthanasia have also made people cynical about modern medicine. Obama will further all of these dehumanizing problems.

My fear is that we are dealing with a narcissist dictator and American people are fighting with the rules of law...this is not going to work with what we have in the congress now. They don't care at all about us and our teaparties.
As I said before - we will NOT be able - unless miracle but I never saw that anywhere - to go back and close all these new gov offices and fire all these new gov workers - and stop all these entitlements, affirmative action in Universities et al - unemployment benefits going now for years - in France, they get more money not working than trying to find a job.
That's my fear. All these people are democrats voters of course. They will not want to loose all these great benefits. And that's where we are loosing.
