Highlights:
*The president in the speech declared that his administration has cut taxes for 95% of Americans. He even chided Republicans for not applauding on that point. However, just 21% of voters nationwide believe that taxes have been cut for 95% of Americans. Most (53%) say it has not happened, and 26% are not sure. Other polling shows that nearly half the nations voters expect their own taxes to go up during the Obama years.
*The president also asserted that after two years of recession, the economy is growing again. Just 35% of voters believe that statement is true, while 50% say it is false.
*Obama claimed that steps taken by his team are responsible for putting two million people to work who would otherwise be unemployed. Just 27% of voters say that statement is true. Fifty-one percent (51%) say it's false.
*On all the points raised in the presidents speech, there is a huge partisan divide. On the question of cutting taxes for 95% of Americans, hardly any Republicans or unaffiliated voters believe it's true. However, Democrats are evenly divided: 34% say the tax cuts have been delivered, 29% say they havent, and 38% are not sure.
*Sixty-three percent (63%) of Democrats agree with the presidents statement that the economy is growing again. Seventy percent (70%) of Republicans and 60% of unaffiliated voters disagree.
*As for the claim about two million jobs, 46% of Democrats say its true, while 77% of Republicans say its not. As for those not affiliated with either major party, 24% say its true, and 59% say its false.
*Regarding another initiative detailed in the speech on Wednesday night, just nine percent (9%) of voters believe the presidents proposed freeze on discretionary spending will have a big impact on the deficit.

Thanks
They truly do not want the light of day on the real reasons they are doing what they are doing.
Beck is about the only talking head/pundit that is scratching the surface of their IMHO, evil plans.
It comes down to one simple question: the goodness of God or the goodness of man. Its clear our founding fathers revered the former over the latter.
The Libs/Dems/progressives believe in man above everything else and a select elite few above man.
Agreed. People should be able to tell if they are paying more taxes or not...
Heh. No matter how they try to polish this Leftist turd, THE PEOPLE are on to him now.
C’mon November 2nd.
Yep, same here. Mine went up $8. That piece of trash...
There were no tax cuts. All that changed was withholding. We are all paying back those “tax cuts.”
What the hell happened to Joe Wilson?? That guy grew a set and then melted into the floor. They must have pictures of him.....
To embattled President Obama (the victors write the history, and it's high time we started writing it):
"Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find only things evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached." - Manuel II Palelogus
As long as he stays in the minus level, all is well.
Many Democrats are also fleeing from him.
The scam is over.
I can tell you exactly why some dems say that he has cut taxes. The long term capital gains tax rate dropped from 5% to 0% for people in the 15% and lower tax bracket. That will rise to 10% for the 15% tax bracket in 2011, and to 20% for all other tax brackets in 2011. I'm certain that the democRAT talking points have stressed the short-term reduction in capital gains taxes for the lower income brackets in their weekly literature.
I don't know of any other actual tax cuts initiated by the rats in the last year, but I do know that they're set to let the Bush tax cuts expire.
If you click on the above link to Rassmussen, you’ll see some eye-popping stuff...not just for Dems.
Republicans, by 75% think the GOP does not represent its base well. !!!!!!!!
45% think that by randomly selecting people out of a phone book, that those people would do better than Congress.
Push your local GOP Party and State Party to field candidates for every single race...
...there is a tsunami of epic proportion coming.
My withholding is up $45 per month. When the Bush tax cuts expire-it will be worse.
Just wait until April 15, some of those dems are in for a suprise.
“What the hell happened to Joe Wilson?? That guy grew a set and then melted into the floor.”
What’s he supposed to be doing?
*Sixty-three percent (63%) of Democrats agree with the presidents statement that the economy is growing again. Seventy percent (70%) of Republicans and 60% of unaffiliated voters disagree.
Why does this not surprise me? The moochers and Gov’t employees believe the economy is growing because for them it is. Too bad the private sector has the public sectors boot on it’s neck.
0bama barely got any bounce at all from his State of Delusion speech.
It will be gone as soon as it begins to even show up.
Guess those believers either don’t pay taxes or think they are in the 5% who didn’t get a tax cut.
