The former six-term congressman stepped down Friday as host of his conservative talk radio program on a radio station in Phoenix.

"We will formally announce at a later time, but we're moving forward to challenge John McCain," Hayworth told the Associated Press. "I think we all respect John. I think his place in history is secure. But after close to a quarter-century in Washington, it's time for him to come home."

Hayworth is a patriot. McCain is fundamentally hostile to ordinary Americans. The old traitorous Keating-whore needs to be dumped...like he did his first wife.

Hayworth is doing all of us a great service. By running, he will force McCain to act like a conservative up until the primary election.

Good job JD Hayworth, I hope you win, but just by running, we’ve already won.

That is exactly correct. And that applies to absolutely every individual nationwide who commits himself to raise the ante in the political forum. It is NOT necessarily the chances of winning the election as much as exposing the corruption which is Washington DC.

John McCain is a CFR'er. Bonafide, primary member. And senile to boot.

This is also why a vocal conservative third party is desperately needed - it can expose the incest of Washington DC. It is truly sad how many on FR don't get it.

What good does endoresements do a guy like McCain that is so well known? I think most conservatives will see through the Brown and Palin endorsements and vote the guy out if Hayworth runs a good race.

Oh for Pete’s sake... I thought by now everyone knew the reasons he lost....

Nope. Not being from Arizona you need to remind us. Often if need be.

I fear I am never going to find someone that lines up exactly with my views. In my youth I would have held out for perfection. Now that I'm older, and have seen many of my quests for perfection end sadly by depriving me of what would have been better for me, I try to avoid that outcome.

I have no quarrel with those who choose to drop support for Sarah Palin in view of any stand she might take, or not take. All that I ask is that accord me the same consideration and civility.

I plan to watch things rock along and see how they shake out. Sometimes things that seem crystal clear at one point turn out quite different in the end.

“Palin owes McCain for introducing her to the national scene. It’s called loyalty. A higher form of integrity.”

What about the integrity of showing loyalty to her supporters?

I guess they don’t rate as high as McCain.

she doesn't owe him... she paid her dues to him when she joined his ticket as VP candidate and poured her heart into campaigning--something he didn't even do himself... i think it's funny that when the Bushes show loyalty, they are called weak and RINOs... but when she shows loyalty to a weak RINO, she is showing a higher form of integrity... so two-faced... not her, but the supporters who could never bring themselves to criticize her no matter what... gosh, just like some of Obama's supporters...

By running, he will force McCain to act like a conservative up until the primary election.

It's happening already. McCain has been running radio ads for weeks touting his conservative credentials and bashing Obama.

If McCain had run some of the ads in 2008 that he's been running in 2010, he might have won the election.

The last few days, the ads have been specifically targeted against JD Hayworth. McCain even ran an anti-Hayworth ad in the last segment of Hayworth's last radio show.

This will flush out Hannity and expose him for the phony that he is. He is one of McCains two lapdogs, Lindsey is the other one. Now he is forced to back McCain against a conservative. I am going to enjoy listening to Hannity twist himself into a corkscrew as the tries to walk a razor line. Let the fun begin.

“Today, Bob J is critical of Sarah for endorsing Sarah.

Bob J | Jan. 23: Palin has achieved notoriety because she calls herself a “rogue”, someone who isn’t “politics as usual” and has consistently asked for donations to her PAC so she can advance “common sense conservatism” and support “true conservatives” in their campaigns. Then the first action out of the gate she backs the biggest RINO in the Senate. This article is just another band aid full of excuses from a Palin worshipper and even goes farhter by trying to shift the focus from her actions to that of Brown

16 days ago Bob J said that he would applaud Sarah if she endorsed McCain.

Roll Tape...

Bob J | Jan. 8: If she comes out for him I will applaud her standing by the man who catapulted her into the national limelight.
All observe Bob J and his “objective” criticisms of Sarah “

Hypocrisy??
