Try not to punch holes in your walls after reading this.
its amazing how they continue to increase their pay while most americans have had to tighen up the belt after losing jobs or having pay cut drastically...
Parasites prosper.
FIRE THEM ALL AND PRIVATIZE.
In healthcare we have not been hit quite as hard as most other industries.
Yet, as we cut back on hours and other employee niceties, the one entity I fear losing my good staff to, is the government. They are booming and flush with cash....my cash.
Government employees...the new middle class.
Mandarins with cheap neckties.
We also will continue this because there are not the force to do what it takes. E-mails & Tea Parties with signs don't get it. Sniveling leftist won't vote their handout electors. Alexander Tyler states the obvious.
This is a straw man. The problem is the man behind the curtain. The shadow government. Look behind the smoke at the Federal contractors. They are multi millionaires on the backs of the American people. There are at least as many federal contractor employees as Federal employees, maybe more, that receive tax payer money. Many who make at least $200,000 a year. They have no caps on their income. But the media ignores this. Most of DC is federal contractors.
Some of whom are loyal Freepers.
No doubt, and likely hard workers too.
Still does not change the dynamic of federal employment as a whole being bloated, inefficient, and predatory upon the tax payer.
I used to live near DC, and was singularly unimpressed with these multi-generational pests for the most part.
We've all been betrayed by government at ALL levels... The public servants have become the elite ruling class, where you do not question their arrogant all controlling authority or else...
Anyone notice that starting about 20 years ago, all the government buildings started to resemble fortresses?
CCTV cameras on rooftops, electronic card ID entries, barbed wire topping their compound walls, bullet proof glasses in all the government facilities, secured parking for their employees, automated vertical barriers...
This is all for terrorism right?
ER....automated vehicle barriers...
As the tax payers are beat like a drum...
Take a look at benefits (never mind greater job security). That’ll really get you upset and make you ask:
Just who is working for who here?
Let the class warfare begin.....remember how sweet it was before the corporate downsize, then lay the offs......boo-hoo, now the pension’s gone the way of Enron.
Try withholding your hard earned income from this corrupt bloated government, and you'll find out.
Who do you think does the work?
The permanent full time federal employees, most of whom are affirmative action hires, spend all day yapping it up with each other and finding new ways to get through a day (when they bother to show up, which is about 65% of the time) without doing anything useful or fulfilling any of their job responsibilities.
Contractors work like animals because they know they can get released at any time.
The money can be good, but there are no benefits or paid time off, and the jobs are temporary.
Post 13 raises a good point. Why are our rulers so afraid of us? I noticed this about 15 years ago when I went to my local congressman’s listening session at the local high school. There were two local cops standing beside him on the podium as guards. There was no hot button issue at the time and we lived in a very nice suburban area where crime was low.
We voters, by and large, follow the laws, pay our taxes and take care of our families. We are docile, yet our rulers treat us as not yet arrested felons who cant’ be trusted with guns or to petition our government. Time to be less docile???
