After the New England Patriots disasterous decision Sunday night not to punt on fourth down with the ball on the Indianapolis Colts' 28-yard line, former Massachusetts Governor, Mitt Romney, had every right to be ticked off. Especially considering that the Pats had the lead with little more than 2 minutes left in the game. Is it possible that the team's supposedly brilliant coach, Bill Belichick, got confused and thought the Manning brother waiting patiently on the opposing sidelines was Eli and not Peyton? Whatever the case, the Colts went on to win the game with 13 seconds left in the game.
But that fit of pique can't compare with the frustration Romney must feel watching the "All Sarah, all the time" frenzy in advance of the official launch date of Going Rogue, Sarah Palin's tell-all account of the 2008 presidential campaign. On paper, it should be a no-brainer. Here's Romney, with that ponderously impressive resume - CEO of the management consultancy Bain & Company, co-founder of private equity investment firm Bain Capital, CEO of the Salt Lake Organizing Committee for the 2002 Winter Olympics and governor of the Bay State from 2003 to 2007 - and yet he can't get the time of day. Maybe that will change by next year, but for the moment, north to south, east to west, the Republican faithful only have eyes for the Thriller from Wasilla.
Which is all the more fascinating because a bevy of new polls suggest that Palin's guaranteed to lose if she becomes the Republican Party's nominee in 2012. A CBS poll found that just 23% of Americans now hold a favorable view of the former Alaska Governor and two in three Americans would not like to see Palin run for president against Barack Obama.(continued)

He has no single ideological base, and goes which ever way the wind blows. This shows lack of integrity, when America needs that most.
He also ade the stupid faux pas of making his personal religion an election issue, thinking it would get him support in the primaries, instead he kept it up so long that we also had Huckabee touting his relationship with the Almighty in order to curry votes.
When men like that seek the presidency, Americans NEVER support them. And both HUckabee and Romney have screwed themselves forever by that single fact.
Palin will run rings around Romney. She already is doing that as this post is being written. Check out her Amazon and Barnes and Noble book orders. Romney has not written much at all, his life isn't worth reading about. Who would read it? And why wasn't Ritt Momsey selected as McCains running mate?Simple, Romney can't communicate with ordinary Americans.Sarah's got Romney beat there too.
The Country Club Pubbies can gnash their teeth all they want. Even this early in the game, Ritt Momsey doesn't measure up to Palin at all.
It in a nutshell.
That I simply can't believe. You mean to tell me just 23% of Americans have lifted Palin to the top of the bestsellers list before the book was released, forcing the publisher to order a second printing (again before the book was release), after the first printing was already 1.5 million copies? All this attention with Oprah, Barbara, O'Reilly, was over just 23% of the country? Everyone else hates her?
"Someone's got to say it: IS MITT ROMNEY RESPONSIBLE FOR OBAMA'S VICTORY?"
"Vanity: Team Romney Sabotaged Palin and Continuing to Do So?"
He also made the stupid faux pas of making his personal religion an election issue
BB: No he didn’t. Others did.
Palin will run rings around Romney.
BB: If she does, good for her.
Hunter/DeMint 2012
LOL!!!
The poll was of Romney’s family.
20 - 25% support Gov. Palin.
They rest fear Bishop Romney’s wrath.
The nomination is clearly Palin's to lose.
No, broncobilly (RomneyBOT extraordinary).
Romney and his trained capuchin RomneyBOTs brought
(and bring up) his religion all the time.
Romney cries. Its his religion.
Romney lies. Its his religion.
Romney can’t stand criticism. Its his religion.
Romney takes two sides of every issue. Its ...
Romney imposes socialism. Its ...
Romney whines. Its ...
Romney’s response to criticism. Its his religion.
Romney is a pussy who should grow a pair
and take a single side.
I haven’t tried to keep track, but I imagine a lot of the bottom feeders who worked for the McCain campaign have migrated to Mitt’s campaign.
Novak: "Fred Thompson drop-out rumors traced to Romney campaign"
Migrated back. Romney put them there to ruin
the GOP effort. Romney is nothing but a backstabber.
That’s the impression I have always had of Romney, though, I too can find no reason to ‘hate’ him. If it’s not that he’s actually cold, he still doesn’t project any uncertainty or vulnerability or doubt about whatever it is he’s talking about. And he doesn’t do a good enough job at faking warmth as, say, Clinton and Obama did, which is really all it takes
to get elected, if you got something else going for you.
Romney is just too reassuringly glib and seems to have a tailormade answer for everything he’s asked.

Sarah Palin or Bust!
I will settle for Pawlenty as VP.
Particularly since the ball was at the New England 28, not the Indy 28. Passing up a punt at the Indy 28 is a reasonable call. Passing it up at his own 28 was not.
Of course, equating Romney-Palin with the Patriots-Colts is a non-sequitor from the beginning but it becomes even more irrelevant when you get your facts wrong.
A totally worthless column, IMO.
BB: No he didnt. Others did.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
I say that is absolutely untrue, if he had ignored the issue instead of having a RINO bleeding heart moment on national television he might have had a far better chance.
America doesn’t care much about the issue of religion, but it cares if you are or seem to be a divisive zealot. Both Huckabee and Romney made that mistake. Its the KISS OF DEATH in American politics, and both Huckabee and Romney need to fold their tents and go home, they are wasting their time and money. They forever doomed themselves.
Now the lefty press is trying to get Palin to have her religious bleeding heart moment moment too. And she will ignore it as both Rommney and Huckabee should have. And that separates the wheat from the chaff. Religion is a divisive issue and always will be. It was stupid for both Huckabee and Romney to begin their whining about religion, forgetting that usual maxim in US politics, thinking they had entered a NEW AGE. WRONGO!
And they will pay the price, over and over.
Now stop saying the cart came before the horse. Its silly. Romney didn’t have enough sense to ignore the issue, and therefore Americans think that he would not ignore it while in office. And that is an impression that Romney has imprinted in the minds of Americans. And he did it to himself, no one did it to him.
Ooh, you poor thing. We get Oprah once in the day and I think she’s on late at night on some channel. But only once in the day.
