Okay you red-blooded Americans...let's see how you do on this test... 24 out of 30 is considered a passing grade.

Supposedly 96% of all high school Seniors FAILED this test. AND if that's not bad enough, 50% + of all individuals over 50 did too!!

Take the test and be surprised at what we don't know.

http://games.toast.net/independence

I found a fun QUIZ on introductory level United States History. Don't take it too seriously. It contains 30 multiple choice questions with 4 choices for each one. If you are as old as I am (Born in 1948)or older , went to school back when they taught U.S. History, and still have possesion of most of your faculties, you will do well.

I got 28 correct. I guess I didn’t remember an amendment to the Constitution being ratified in 1992. I should have gone with my first instinct, but changed it and got it wrong. I also missed the question about how many presidents were assassinated. I was counting an extra person after 4, so I chose six.

Not too bad, though somewhat embarrassing for a History grad.

Got 23. Not bad for a Canadian. I thought to be impeached, ALL of congress had to vote 'yes'. Oh, well.

You are more qualified than 95% of democrats in Congress and certainly higher than Obama or Biden.

Impeached = indicted, not convicted.

29. I thought Eisenhower was born in Kansas, not Texas.

>>Stupid mistake, 50 states/ 100 Senator<<

24 total for me — dumb mistakes (1st VP, Not President!) and the Amendment #s, dates threw me off.

But I did better than my age group.

I didn’t know Eisenhower was born in Texas. But I got the rest of them right.

Me too, 4 wrong. But I passed. And unlike Obama, I know how many states are in the United States. No, I do not have a Harvard education. Personally, I don’t think he does either.

Texan all the way. Congratulations on those tough Amendment questions.

I missed two - the number of amendments that failed and the number of impeachments....

For some reason, the web site lost the data from all but the last page of the quiz. Obviously, I didn't score well because of that.

Maybe I should have enabled cookies on that site. Or maybe not.

Do I win? I got 30. Yay. Though I must admit I guessed at one or two. I did not know how many amendments had been proposed but never ratified. I thought it had been more than one though. Many of the others were pretty easy.

Great job. those two questions were mere trivia. You did well on the important ones.

Remember this qualifies you to receive the following rewards:

1. The honor of paying for the health care of all those too lazy to get it on their own.

2. The ultimate privilege of paying for the College Tuition for the children of illegal aliens.

3. the inalienable right to live under Sharia Law one day.

4. Reading Nancy Pelosi's latest book from 2008 which sold all of 5,000 copies in the first 5 weeks on Amazon.

5. Condemnation from the MSM for daring to read Sarah Palin's new book which sold 50,000 copies on Amazon in the first 60 seconds and it is not even in the stores yet.

6. All of the above.

Be happy and content.

Your Score is 29

Near Perfect! This was a difficult test, you should be proud!

I messed up on the amendment on importing liquor. Congress should really keep its hands off of free enterprise.

I had to do that one by the process of elimination. I knew the others weren’t born in Texas, so assumed it had to be Eisenhower.

The answer section is wrong for me. It made a backwards error counting the ones I got right as wrong.

If this test wasn’t multiple choice, I fear that many of us would not get even 25% correct. Multiple choice tests can attribute knowledge to correct guesses. They are not really tests.
