I thought she did pretty good, considering the emotions she must have been feeling, singing at a memorial service for 13 of her fellow soldiers. I wouldn’t have been able to finish the song without falling apart. God Bless her for being stronger than me.

My deepest sympathies go out to you and your extended Fort Hood family. There are times when maybe we forget that there are people on this thread that are impacted directly.I don’t think anyone voicing an opinion on this thread meant any disrespect to those who were killed or wounded. We do resent the President, any President that is insincere and uses the occasion as a mere photo op.

I can only assume that words were chosen carefully to lessen the pain on the surviving families, I will give the speakers the benefit of the doubt. After this is over though, it is no longer a time for words but deeds.

May God give you strength to cope with this tragedy.
