Twelve people have been killed and 31 wounded in a shooting spree at a Texas military base by what officials believe was possibly carried out by an Army officer.
The suspected gunman was identified by ABC News as Major Malik Nadal Hasan.
The shooter was killed and two other suspects, who are also soldiers, have been apprehended, Lt. Gen. Robert W. Cone said.
The gunman used two handguns, Cone said. He wasn't sure if the shooter reloaded the weapons during the attack.

General Barry McCaffrey (U.S. Army Retired) on MSNBC just said Fort Hood is the “largest concentration of military combat power in the U.S.”
He speculated that this could be a crime (robbery, drug deal, etc.) gone bad.

Good observation. They are usually very quick to tell us that it isn’t a terrorist attack. With 2 or 3 shooters and many victims, on an Army base, it can safely be presumed to be terrorism related until demonstrated otherwise.

I just heard Shep say that one of the shooters was captured and they should be getting information pretty soon.." if you know what I mean." Isn't this drama queen the one who said, almost crying that we don't f...... torture?
They also had a lady named Hillary who said some of the gunfire happened at an on base theater. But she didn't know if it was a movie theater, or a live production theater. I never saw a pamphlet that said " Join the Army and see The Phantom Of The Opera.

I've been on bases multiple times for military ceremonies.
This is just so horrible. I can't even get my mind around it.
Same here. I was just in Lackland last month for my son's graduation from boot camp. All those wonderful patriotic men and women. I hope whoever did it didn't make it out alive.
