"Hear our cry, Obama."
"Deliver us, Obama."
Video at link.
More people should develop this skills. Then there would be fewer people injured by scam artists.
I got it here: http://www.rense.com/
I think they serve to wake people up from their Kool-Ade stupor.
Thanks?
So, what is the deal with Rense’s hair?
Sounds a lot like Acorn to me. In fact, it says that Obama worked as a community organizer for Gamaliel on the south side of Chicago. I thought he did same for Acorn. How are they connected?
I am definitely hear some saying “O God” and some saying “Obama”
[Ping to the thread for some friends along with the reply to your post, Grunthor — hope you don’t mind...]
Of course they do... They can say whatever crazy things they want, and worship whatever they want too! Doesn’t mean we can’t CALL them crazy (just like they call many Christians that everyday).
I wonder who the woman leading the prayers is? Does anyone know? I’d love to know what religious group she is affiliated with (as she was wearing robes that indicate a religious leader). I noticed she referred to MLK, Jr. as a prophet - I hadn’t heard him described that way before, as a given title I mean (”The Prophet Martin Luther King, Jr.”).
Regardless, this gave my husband, I and my 2 daughters who were in the room a serious case of the “willies”. Seriously, frightening to the depth of my soul, personally...
The Wolf is Sheep’s Clothing................
How many times did Jesus say in the Last Days-Make sure you are not decieved...
Matthew 7:13-14
Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction; and there are many who enter through it. For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it.
Jesus puts forth two paths for people to follow. The one is described as narrow and small and hard. The other is wide and broad and easy. The broad and easy way leads to destruction, but the narrow and hard way leads to life. What makes this passage so terrifying is that there are many who are on the broad road leading to destruction, who think that they are on the narrow road leading to life. And they never know that they were on the wrong road, until it’s too late.
Jesus said, ...
Matthew 7:21-23
Not everyone who says to Me, “Lord, Lord,” will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter. Many will say to Me on that day, “Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?” And then I will declare to them, “I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness
I’ve been trying to figure out who the woman is conducting the “prayer”. It might help if we understood her background, etc. I found Sister Becky Swanson from Minnesota who admits helping to conduct the opening worship service for this meeting and admits attending this health care “demonstration”. You can read her summary of the event at http://saplc.org/newsletter/cm090101.pdf on page 6. She is apparently a Lutheran Deaconess. I don’t know if she was the one reading the “prayer” or not. Someone else may be able to find that out.
I’ve never heard these words before — can I have a translation, please? :)
I don’t think so... There are 3 distinct syllables in the responses, and no hard “D” (or “G” for that matter). You can clearly hear them say “Hear Us, Obama” at 2:36.
“So, what is the deal with Renses hair?”
I think he’s channeling one of the Bee Gees or something. :)
I’ve never actually listened to his show, but his site, while full of some really crazy stuff, also has an occasional pearl not found elsewhere. I haven’t seen that picture I posted anywhere else.
That’s what bothered me tremendously. It sounded exactly like the responsorial psalms at church! (Hope I’m remembering the title of that section of mass correctly - was raised & confirmed Catholic, but am not practicing...).
It really did chill me to the bone to hear this... I’m STILL disturbed by it — feel like I have to go take a shower, but the water ain’t gonna wash off the INSIDE, and that’s where it feels the worst - like it contaminated my soul or something! (And, yes, maybe I’m exaggerating a bit, but not much!)
More info on Gamalial Foundation...basically ACORN in another name but same mission.
http://www.discoverthenetworks.org/groupProfile.asp?grpid=7004
The stated mission of the Gamaliel Foundation (GF) is “to be a powerful network of grassroots, interfaith, interracial, multi-issue organizations working together to create a more just and more democratic society.” Predicated on the notion that America is a land rife with injustice, GF agitates for social change by supporting the efforts of a network of organizations (the Gamaliel Network) whose goal is to allow for individuals to “effectively participate” in the political, environmental, social and economic arenas. GF offers, for its network affiliates, programs to teach techniques and methodologies for bringing about social change; ongoing consultations; and organizer recruitment campaigns.
The Gamaliel Foundation derives its name from the biblical figure who, according to the New Testament, chastised the Jewish Sanhedrin (rabbinical court) for wanting to give the death penalty to Jesus’s apostles. Says GF, “We work in the hope and the confidence that this work is of God.” GF was established in 1968 to support the Contract Buyers League, an African American organization fighting to protect homeowners on Chicago’s West Side who had been discriminated against by banks and lending institutions.
The Gamaliel Network receives much of its funding from the leftist group Catholic Campaign for Human Development (CCHD). Yet according to the Roman Catholic Faithful website, GF’s “goals and philosophies are at fundamental odds with Church teaching.” GF endorses “scriptural relativism”and “encourage[s] a wide range of scriptural interpretations.”
The Gamaliel Foundation models itself after the activism of the 1960s radical Saul Alinsky, who authored the books Reveille for Radicals (1946), The Professional Radical (1970), and Rules for Radicals (1971). Alinsky’s prescription for effective organizing consisted of the following elements: (a) Develop a “trade union in the social factory” to serve as a vehicle by which people in the neighborhood can bargain, strike, and struggle to advance their agendas; (b) create a power-oriented community organization willing to use militant, confrontational tactics; and (c) promote a democratic organization where organizers do not themselves lead, but rather develop local leaders so as to create the veneer of self-determination and grassroots democracy.
I don’t think so... It may have been a mockery in the first place, but it is not us that look like the fools.
Don’t let them scare you!!! Oh, and report the Freepmail if you haven’t already.
