Obama Turns 9/11 Observance Over to al Qaeda Sympathizer
Monday, August 24, 2009 | Kristinn

Posted on 08/24/2009 11:06:56 AM PDT by kristinn

Matthew Vadum, writing in today's American Spectator, blows the cover off Barack Obama's plans to hijack the observance of the 9/11 terrorist attacks by turning it over to the radical leftist Lennox Yearwood of the politically well-connected Hip Hop Caucus.

This news has been hiding in plain sight, but got lost in the battle this month over nationalized health care, so Vadum has done a great service by bringing this to our attention.

Vadum's piece has been picked up by Michelle Malkin and Gateway Pundit.

This article is intended to fill in some big pieces of the picture about what this means. Such as Yearwood calling the war on al Qaeda and the Taliban in Afghanistan in response to 9/11, "immoral" (Huffington Post, March 20, 2009) and the Air Force accusing the reservist (a 2nd Lt.) of being a threat to national security.

Yearwood is a Marxist who works closely with other leftist terrorist supporting groups including the ANSWER Coalition, and Code Pink.

Yearwood and his anti-American allies have been working to bring about America's defeat in the war on terror. They have used the war to propagandize their broader leftist agenda. To that end, they have cynically allied themselves with Muslim terrorists and state sponsors of terrorism against America.

Obama's White House is no stranger to this crowd. One of Obama's top fundraisers and donors was Code Pink co-founder and Osama bin Laden sympathizer Jodie Evans. (The mainstream media steadfastly refused to investigate Obama's ties to Evans during last year's campaign.)

Vadum ends his article with this rhetorical observation: "At no time does anyone explain why this National Day of Service has to be held -- of all the 365 days in a year -- on Sept. 11."

The answer is found in the anti-American, terrorist sympathizing ideology of Barack Obama and his leftist base. Turning the observation of 9/11 over to the anti-American left is akin to turning over the observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day to the Ku Klux Klan.

Yearwood has formed a group called Greening the Block whose policies echo the 'no blood for oil' mantra used by the anti-American left to undermine America's effort to win the war on terror. Here's a video from October 27, 2007 of Yearwood speaking at a 'No War, No Warming' rally led by Code Pink at the U.S. Capitol. Yearwood accuses the U.S. of waging war "to steal the oil from the Middle East" (isn't that what bin Laden says?)

The annointing of Lennox Yearwood is a signal to our enemies that Obama sides with them and not America on September 11. Cloaking this in green propaganda and community service is a cynical ploy to undermine America on the home front. We're a long way from the country we were on September 12, 2001. God help our troops on the battlefield.

More background on Lennox Yearwood:

Yearwood's bio from his blog at the ACLU:

Rev. Lennox Yearwood, Jr. is the President of the Hip Hop Caucus. In 2004 he was the co-creator of the Vote Or Die! campaign with P. Diddy, and served as Russell Simmons’ Political and Grassroots Director. He was also the Executive Director of Hip Hop Voices a program of Voices for Working Families at AFL-CIO. Rev. Yearwood is a nationally recognized activist and community organizer, known in particular for organizing for justice in response to Hurricane Katrina and for his fierce opposition to the war in Iraq.

Yearwood is represented by the liberal Democrat front group Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Government. (a href="http://www.discoverthenetworks.org/groupProfile.asp?grpid=7309">CREW.

Yearwood also serves on the board of Progressive Democrats of America:Progressive Democrats of America is a grassroots PAC that works both inside the Democratic Party and outside in movements for peace and justice. Our goal: Elect a permanent, progressive majority in 2008. PDA's advisory board includes seven members of Congress and activist leaders such as Tom Hayden, Medea Benjamin, Thom Hartmann, Jim Hightower, and Rev. Lennox Yearwood. For more information, see: http://pdamerica.org. Jodie Evans is also a leader of PDA.

Yearwood is a member of Iraq Veterans Against the War (he did not serve in Iraq). He was a 2nd Lt. in the Air Force Reserve.

In the face of political pressure, the Air Force backed down on kicking him out of the reserve for conduct "clearly inconsistent with the interest of national security."

Yeah, if there was any doubt that Obama is a Marxist and Islamist tool, this forever eliminates it.

That argument is over, except to absolute fools.

Oh, I’m just kidding... But good grief. Isn’t there anyone in the Air Force that can torture this clown and make him resign his commission?

“SUSTAINABLE CITIES AND HIP HOP: CREATING A NEW URBAN BEAT”

http://thecityfix.com/sustainable-cities-and-hip-hop-creating-a-new-urban-beat/

“Yesterday, on his 48th birthday, Pres. Barack Obama announced the Green the Block campaign “to ensure that low-income communities and communities of color have the resources and platforms needed to access the benefits and opportunities of the growing clean-energy economy.”

Launched in partnership with Green For All and the Hip Hop Caucus, the nationwide campaign will rely on a coalition of organizations to educate and mobilize young people about how to take action on things like installing energy-efficient light bulbs in neighborhood homes, planting a community garden, and writing letters to local officials asking them to promote the use of more fuel efficient vehicles.

Green the Block is just one example of how youth culture — and in particular, hip hop culture — is transforming the way we advocate for sustainable cities and transportation. And it’s not just in the United States.
Take, for example, the events planned for the World Urban Forum in 2006, where artists like Curtis Clearsky and other UN-HABITAT Messengers of Truth performed at the Global Hip-Hip Mainstage to inspire young people to change their cities for the better. The United Nations recognized that “Hip-Hop is more than a genre of music or dance. It is a social movement.”

It’s about mainstreaming the idea of safer, cleaner and more accessible urban communities, and you can see it happening through what’s commonly referred to as “the five elements:” emceeing, breakdancing, deejaying, beat boxing, and the art of graffiti. Here’s a few examples from around the world:

MASTER OF CEREMONIES
Obama, himself, is the quintessential emcee for America’s youth, supporting the power of hip hop as a vehicle for change:

“I love the art of hip hop; I don’t always love the message of hip hop. The thing about hip hop today is that it’s smart, it’s insightful, the way that [rappers] can communicate a complex message in a very short space is remarkable. A lot of these kids are not going to be reading The New York Times. The question, then, is, what’s the content? What’s the message?

Art can’t just be a rear view mirror; it should also have a headlight out there pointing to where we need to go.”

Barack “B-Rock” Obama meets with Ludacris. Photo via Snicka.

His decision about “where to go” was made clear through the establishment of the White House Office of Urban Affairs, which proves his commitment to “promote strong cities as the backbone of regional growth.” This summer, the Office kicked off a National Conversation on the Future of America’s Cities and Metropolitan Areas, essentially convening a whole community of urban policy “emcees” who will be talking about “ways in which Washington can be a partner and catalyst for community-based solutions, instead of a bureaucratic obstacle.”

Another public figure who comes to mind as a hip-hop-inspired voice for a new generation of sustainable city advocates is Majora Carter, who wrote a $1.25 million federal transportation planning grant to conduct a feasibility study for the South Bronx Greenway. As an African-American woman who grew up in the South Bronx, Carter understands that some people think cleaning and greening a city will “kill” hip hop because it takes away from the suffering, which often fuels the art form. But, she said in an interview, “if we have industry that employs people and communities — that are beautiful — then hip-hop can just flourish. It will just be something new. It will be happy hip-hop!” Hence her motto: “Green the Ghetto!”, which is also the title of her organization’s blog, which recently posted this pic...”

Yeah, every time you throw your beer can or twinkie wrapper or used condom on the street, it's art. But hey, let's spend millions greening and cleaning -- then we can throw all our crap on the street again -- for the suffering, bro. And the art.

Always follow the $$$.

Always follow the power.

Always follow the control.

Use other people's money (tax dollars) to control the ones you are using and throw them the occasional bone to feed on. Example: Lennox and 9/11.

This is all a load of course. “Green the Ghetto” is another way of coming through the back down to raid the kitty all in the name of the Green Cult led by Van Jones. And like the good little Commie he is-he will attempt to re-write the history of 9/11 and make it into something of their own image and imagination “Community Service Day”. That's what Communists do well, re-write history.

At this rate, Obama could have his “just as well funded as the military” army of “community organizers” in no time.

“...And that's why as president, I will expand AmeriCorps to 250,000 slots and make that increased service a vehicle to meet national goals like providing health care and education, saving our planet and restoring our standing in the world, so that citizens see their efforts connected to a common purpose. People of all ages, stations, and skills will be asked to serve. Because when it comes to the challenges we face, the American people are not the problem — they are the answer.

So we are going to send — we're going to send more college graduates to teach and mentor our young people. We'll call on Americans to join an Energy Corps to conduct renewable energy and environmental cleanup projects in their neighborhoods all across the country. We will enlist our veterans to find jobs and support for other vets, to be there for our military families. And we're going to grow our Foreign Service, open consulates that have been shuttered, and double the size of the Peace Corps by 2011 to renew our diplomacy.

We cannot continue to rely only on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives that we've set. We've got to have a civilian national security force that's just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded....”

-Barack Obama, Colorado Springs, July 2, 2008

K, I think you probably have an interesting story! As a JAG, they gave me credit for time served (in law school and passing the bar) and made me a 1Lt for six months. After six months I hadn’t killed anybody, so they made me a captain. Really pissed off my best friend, who was a 2Lt when I was a civilian and still a 2Lt when I pinned on the railroad tracks!

MORE Americans should read their early history, foundation documents and writers like Jefferson and Paine.

Even better, they should go back to Adam Smith and the OTHER thinkers of the Enlightenment who provided the basis for their ideas.

Some things change with time. Human nature never does. The Founding Fathers KNEW this. That is why they established a Republic with checks and balances and a Bill of Rights. Never, in their most horrid nightmares, would they have believed that future generations of Americans, nourished on wealth, apathy and ignorance, would be willing to trade their freedom to the kind of thieving rascals who have become career criminal politicians.

America does NOT need a House of Lords.

Its PAST time Congress was cleaned out and the entrenched special interests represented by people like Pelosi, Reid, Spector, Grassley, Hatch, Snow, Durban, the Kennedy Klan, etc, were flushed down the sewer of history where they belong.

We NEED term limits!!!!!!!!!

What a great week this has been for international terrorists! First, Scotland sends the convicted Pan Am bomber home to a hero’s welcome in Libya. Then, President Obama and Attorney General Erik Holder appoint a special prosecutor to persecute the CIA agents who interrogated the mass murders, while they simultaneously do everything within their power to make it virtually impossible to successfully prosecute the 9/11 conspirators {no evidence-no case}. Now for the icing on the cake, Obama has appointed a radical, Marxist, Lennox Yearwood to lead the 9/11 observances.

The moral of the story is that elections have consequences. Americans ignored Obama’s dubious background, and this is what we get in return; an anti-American, terrorist sympathizing, disloyal, Marxists-Socialist usurper from Kenyan. Way to go America!

hese are communists, not Democrats.

And this is no joke. These people are playing for real. This is a war we are in. We either win it or we lose it. As history as our guide, it's going to be very dangerous and uncomfortable to not be one of them if they win.
