BP2 and others have already shown the that area was leased from Zanzibar during that time. It would be like you leasing a house from someone, yet all the (property related) bills would still be sent under the owner's name to that address...instead of you..the 'renter.'
Or, similarly, the Panama Canal was leased to the U.S.

I thought of that, except that they would have had no way of knowing that he was to be a male at the time. Furthermore, Grandfather Obama was furious about the pregnancy. He seemed to think it was an affront to the entire tribe and fledgling country. It would have been more likely that they went to Kenya to placate the old man.
I'm still playing (in my mind) with the idea that somebody paid off Obama Sr. to take paternity of this kid to cover for somebody else. Soemwhere he was getting money. He certainly wasn't putting himself through school working at the Quick Lube. That brings us back to Davis who might well have gone to jail, if he turned out to be the father. Or someone else in Hawaii, perhaps working at the U, who might have had a lot to lose if they were found to be the baby-daddy.
Obama looks not at all like Obama Sr., nor any of his half brothers and sisters, nor anybody else in his tribe. He looks a lot like his mother and his white grandparents, and I don't mean the shade of his skin. His features. It's none of my business, but I'd sure like to see the results of a DNA test compared with those half-siblings.

It's all speculative.
It isn't as good speculation as my hypothesis because my hypothesis is supported by a newspaper interview report and tape recording with supporting affidavit of an interview with his grandfather's wife and two of his half syblings that they were present in the hospital room in Kenya when he was born; because of the interview report of the two missionaries who saw her rejected for boarding by BOAC in pregnant condition; by several people who say in public they have seem birth document record reports of his birth in Kenya; by officials in Kenya proposing to build a monument to his birth at Coast General Hospital (at Mombasa); by a bunch of other stuff that doesn't come readily to mind.
And alternative to your hypothesis for which I know of no support except for a comment (again somewhere in the Chicago Tribune or one of the video interviews) that she came to the Seattle/Mercer Island visit from Vancouver, BC.
Which is exactly precisely where she would have come from had she originated in Mombasa or Nairobi.

I have no idea - photoshop is beyond me. I only saved this on my computer since it was the only one that actually looked aged and possibly the original. All the others looked like they were cleaned up from this photo. So, I’m sorry I don’t know where this photo originated from?????
I was surprised when I went back to look at it that it didn’t have any red background? I hope someone didn’t take the red background out or something and this is a dupe too? I just figured since you asked about a ripped one, I knew I had saved it.
However, we must all try to be objective. If the evidence points one definite way, then so be it. But as I've written in several posts, however much work we put in here at FR we will not be able to solve this enigma: too many unknowns.
We are not even sure about the original image of the certificate, since people maliciously or not (poor Salamander) have posted altered images.
OK, now I have to go back several 100 posts and try to catch up.

I repeat again: I despise Obama. I think he’s a Marxist and either a Muslim or someone who is sympathetic to Islam and hates America. Therefore, I think he is dangerous to America and to Israel and I would like to see him kicked out of the White House.
I am commenting on what appears to be devastating evidence against the Kenya BC. Do you actually have anything useful to contribute?

I am no longer certain which document is which, but as far as I remember the one with a tear was something Freeper Salamander put up very early in the discussion trying to make the text clearer for everybody. However, you’d better contact him/her directly and get that confirmed.
