The lapdog media's recent birther bashing week may have temporarily lessened the clamor for Obama's Birth Certificate, but the media doesn't understand the scorn of the American people. We don't aprreciate being treated like idiots.
The media also doesn't realize that Obama's attempts to literally seal his entire life literally from the day he was born is what has fueled the all the research, theories and innuendos that have come out. That is what intelligent people are forced to do when seeking answers with incomplete information.
I am not certain that Obama's actual birth certificate will prove he was or wasn't born in the United States, but what I know with 100% certainty is that there is something on that document that he does not want America to know, and that it will lead to further questions, the answers to to which he doesn't want us to know either.
So let's focus on not just the BC, but on the whole web of secrecy surrounding Obama's life, of which the BC is the first small piece of a much larger puzzle.
What gave birth to the birthers? Not hatred, prejudice or even political alignment necessarily, but rather a sealed life of a man who refuses to let the light of day shine on his past.
I think we'd be surprised at how many Americans would really like to know what information is behind all those seals. I've asked a prominent pollster to poll the American public about there desire to have Obama release not just the BC, but medical records, academnic records, etc. Would you please do the same? (Polling websites all have "Contact Us" links.)
We are not to blame for asking questions, Obama is to blame for withholding answers.
With every passing day that he continues to stonewall, the passion of the American people for openess and honesty will only grow. We will not be stifled.
Your post 57 is an apples and oranges comparison. If Obama was born in Hawaii he’d be a citizen, same as the anchor babies. But he wouldn’t qualify as natural born if his father is BHO Sr. He’d be “native born” instead. Anchor babies with illegal alien parents aren’t qualified to be POTUS, unless there’s been a change in the law that I’m unaware of.
It's interesting that you single out the parentage issue. I agree that if Obama is only hiding his true parentage, that it wouldn't be enough to unseal the records.
However, you also mention the ghost-writing of Dreams of my Father. If your speculation about parentage is true, then Obama's book is a fraud, too, both in authorship and in content.
Now, he may have been lied to about his father all his life, and so the book could have been true to him, but it would be embarrasing if it were all a lie in reality.

We definitely need some leakers to emerge. The worse things get the more leaks we’ll see. A new administrations iron-fisted discipline doesn’t hold up forever. Wear’em down. It scares me that they seem to have managed to shut the whole talk radio community down about this. It’s as if, when “that man” invited all the conservative talkers to dinner, he laid down the law - oppose Us on policy all you want but if you try to go into Our personal life We will come down on you like a box of rocks.
I think he might have actually been born in Hawaii, but there might be some surprises as to who the daddy was. As someone put it, if he daddy was Frank Marshall Davis, it means he IS qualified to be pres’ent, but it’s a grimy, dirty little secret and unsurprising that he didn’t want anybody to know. Or maybe he’s a son of Stanley (the mother) — no father listed at all.
Zero being born in Hawaii only makes him native born.
The man he's publicly admitted as his father was a foreign national, and that prevents Zero from ever having natural born citizenship.
I've decided to take a stand concerning my conscience and the Constitution, and they can mock me all they like.
It will only make me louder. :-)

It’s almost like the obscuring of the real history and the creation of the desired history were all part of the same strategy and thought process. And why TWO autobiographies? Why was one not sufficient?
Either them or the ones that started out the conversation by saying McCain was ineligible because he was born in the Canal Zone.
Obama has this up on "Fight the Smears" and expects us to believe he meets the Consitutional requirement of being a "natural born citizen" of the United States.
It was a very publicized dinner at, If I remember correctly, George Will’s home, during the interregnum after the election and before the inaug err... coronation. People like Hannity and Limbaugh were NOT invited, it was people like Will and umm... maybe Bill Kristol and people like that. None of the content was ever released, they said they were sworn to secrecy. One just has to wonder what was said at that dinner because the talkers are really falling into line behind the pres’ent on this one. That’s why I think he said, oppose me on policy but if you go after me personally, you’re dead. Saddam Hussein dead, if you know what I mean, and that can go two ways, and either of them is bad.

But if you had been born here and were a US citizen from birth you would be able to.
Obama, by his **own** admission can NOT be a natural born citizen because he has dual allegiance.
Obama, himself, claims that his father was a British citizen and from Kenya.
Obama, himself, states that he was adopted by an Indonesian.
Yet...The courts and our legislators are unwilling to examine this. We as the commoners have “no standing” to have a ruling on Obama’s admitted dual allegiance.
