The inflammatory issue of Barrack Obama’s birth certificate is gathering steam across America: Was he or was he not born in the United States?
If he was born anywhere other than on American soil, then his presidency is invalidated. Why? The Constitution of the United States pointedly requires that the President be a natural born citizen.
Defusing the issue would be easy: Obama could simply provide a legitimate and complete birth certificate proving his birth location. Not only has he stubbornly refused to do so, but he has spent several million dollars in legal fees to thwart various citizen lawsuits that demand proper disclosure.
Obama has also legally cloaked records that could potentially support or discredit his citizenship claims, like school records and transcripts from Harvard and Occidental College. Some investigators suspect that he may have applied for admission as a foreign student.
The pack of critics (called “birthers” by Obama defenders) is getting larger by the day. Lou Dobbs and Rush Limbaugh are both talking about it. WorldNet Daily devoted an entire issue of WhistleBlower Magazine to it. Lawyers have filed dozens of lawsuits. Military officers are challenging potentially illegal orders to be deployed to combat zones overseas. Left-wing organizations are being drawn into vocal opposition, thus stirring the pot even more.
As the battle heats up, the attacks on the “birthers” by their detractors (mostly left-wing) is taking on a familiar pattern. The former are being being ruthlessly ridiculed, scorned and marginalized as the “lunatic fringe.”
So far, neither side has blinked. Neither is willing to give an inch. The battle lines have been drawn.
Herein lies the problem.

The only thing that has changed since last year is the number of people who are reporting on it.
Did CNN get a call from Rahm to try to shut Lou Dobbs down.
Someone posted the story about how in June Hawaii was requiring people to get their long form if they wanted “special privileges”.
Obviously, the short form isn’t always enough.
And if they could get their long form in June, why can’t Obama.
CNN entrance into this with a concocted story is highly suspicious.
Making our elected officials follow the Constitution does not make a crisis. Allowing someone to assume the presidency on false pretenses aka breaking the damn law, does make a crisis. To the media, it will be a crisis because they made this guy and continue to prop him up.

Until there is proof that he isn’t eligible, he won’t leave.
Methinks birthers underestimate how badly he, and those supporting him, wants power. They’ll manufacture a crisis to distract from the issue if they have to (which they won’t, as there are plenty of crises building).
The law is the law, and we who honor our Constitution honor the rule of law.
If it is determined by law that Mr. Biden is the rightful POTUS, then so be it. If it is determined that Zero is the rightful President, then so be it.
Why is this so difficult to understand - we don’t get to cherry pick the results, we don’t get to “rig” results to our favor, but we DO get to live under the law. What a great country we have (for now).
I’ll take an American any day over a foreign born president.
That's the most troubling possibility, especially if 2010 elections don't change the balance in the Congress enough. OTOH, if he is as inept as he appears, additionally burdened by the stigma of his former boss' downfall, the feds may end up practically frozen for couple years, which is probably not all that bad -- the less they meddle into everyone's business the less damage they will cause. Then in 2012, Sarah rides in and cleans up the works.
This is only a crisis for the elitists in the Washington DC/New York corridor — and they know it. The credibility of these elitists in government and media is falling rapidly.

The real constitutional crisis is the Obama care law. Texas and other states recently going on record as actually having rights under the constitution will reject the law and all the garbage being thrust on them.
Presidents come and go, but this is the biggest event in American history since the Civil War.
We MUST not allow the moral onus of this debate to be inverted. A legitimate and moral president would be MORE than happy to allay his countrymen’s legitimate concerns about the legal basis for his governance and produce ordinary documentation to confirm that legal and constitutional basis, as did Barry Goldwater, George Romney Sr, and John S.McCain. It is he who has caused this crisis, and no amount od pettifogging obsfucation by his acolytes can change that.
But I am certain that Hussein ain’t legitimate. He is all likelihood a lying usurping BASTARD who, were these documents be revealed, expose him for the counterfeit POTUS that he is.
Justice Marshall said that no provision of the constitution is meaningless. The lack of statutory language undergirding the constitution’s Art. II, Sec 1, clause 5 does NOT mean it can’t be enforced. All we need is discovery from ONE court on these documents. At that point, it can be determined as to whether or not recourse to the POLITICAL mechanisms outlined in Art.I Sec 3, and the XX amendment should be resorted to.
Yes, I know that it is currently a Democratic Congress. The American people need to know whether or not that Congress would do it’s duty to the constitution. And by the time this thing blows up, we may have an entirely different Congress and diferent prospects for Hussein.

Call it the “back pocket” theory - in that those who can really make the BC issue happen will just keep it in their back pocket until they need to control/eject BHO.
