I contend that Obama's response that the Cambridge police acted "stupidly" was not a mistake or poor judgement - I think it was calculated.
Obama is desperately looking for something to steal the headlines from his disasterous healthcare plan and this kind of story his perfect. Obama's hope is that this will galvanize the media and "right wing critics" allowing Pelosi to push this plan through.
I wouldn't be surprised if the White House actually planted that question. If you watched the presser you'll notice that the reporter almost didn't get to ask the questions - another reporter took her spot as the last question and then Obama made a point to go back to her to give her the opportunity to ask the final final question.
He planned this all along. We can not allow this to distract attention from defeating obamacare.
We'll see if Rush sees it the same way.

If you’re right, then this may backfire all over Obama as well as Gates, given what we’ve learned this morning about the officer involved (re: Reggie Lewis).
Even if it was calculated, it was still unwise. He didn’t help his friend Gates at all. It is open season on Gate’s house now. You think any policeman, white or black, is going to respond to a call regarding Gate’s house now.
O has tarred white policemen as racists and exacerbated tensions between white and black policemen and white policemen and black citizens. O has excused disorderly behavior by blacks as being justified if they are dealing with a white cop.
It may be a distraction from the health scam, but it will be only fleeting and has come at the cost of leaving a bitter taste in a lot of people’s mouths.
I thought it was planted before I even heard the question because of the way he introduced it. I had to look up a transcript to get the quote right, but he said, “Okay? All right. I tried to make that short so that Lynn Sweet would get her — the last question in.” As soon as he said that, I told my hubby - Planted Question alert.

No, it’s just always fun to see how RUSH will interpret a particular news event. That’s why I listen. I always form my own opinions, but often Rush sees think or points things out in a way I may not have thought of. I think that’s part of why his show is so popular.
I think it was another planted question. It’s purpose is as you describe. It fits perfectly with Obama’s race centric worldview developed under Frank Marshall Davis and Billy the Bomber Ayers.
Of course the question was planned. Both of the last two questions were planned and they both fit the usual Democratic play book... Call people who disagree with you greedy bigots. 2nd last question asked if we were bing too easy on “Wall Street” (whoever that is) and let Obama rail on about greed as if accusing doctors of making a buck off of kids tonsils wasn’t enough. Then we had the last question and Obama got to prattle on about racism. What a nice way to end a press conference... reminding Americans what a rotten place this is. Was it “Morning in America”? Was it “The Shining City on a Hill”? Not even close. We’re all cowards because we’re all a bunch of greedy bigots. To a dumb hammer, everything looks like a nail.
Rush opinion is not more valid, but it does get to about 20 million more people than Wilco’s.

This was a calculated move by the White House. They knew the presser would be a diasaster because the President can’t tell the American people what he really has planned for us in regards to health care.
The fact that the LAST question was from a CHICAGO reporter AND the POTUS seemed to have already formualted an answer is a giveaway that they planned this to be the last question. This was just the latest iteration of the Huff Po blogger question from Iranian Tweeters. They think the public is too stupid to realize they are controlling the press.
This morning on CNN, they led with the Gates question, not the dismal performance about health care. Deflect, obfuscate, deny. Change the subject. If the facts are against you, change the facts. Attack your ememies. Alinsky tactics at work again.
I think he just lost the next election last night and the minute the democrats in the house and senate realize that, they will turn on him like they turned on Carter.
Obama preaches racial unity while everything he does is calculated to feed racial paranoia and hate.
Democrats want blacks staying on the plantation, living off government handouts and reliably voting democrat. They don’t want them becoming independent and self reliant.
Fomenting hate, distrust, class envy and paranoia is a key part of that strategy.
Lewis was a pro basketball player. The officer gave him mouth-to-mouth when he collapsed. Lewis did not survive. By the way, Lewis was black.
Obama called Gates a friend of his if I’m not mistaken.
I would be interested in the “paper trail” and comments made by his “friend”.
Shouldn’t be too hard to find an anti-White, Anti-American thesis or two....
I can't wait for the stories from the state-owned media about the inappropriateness of Hussein commenting on the Gates thing /sarc.

Not sure if I agree with your theory. Disabuse me of the notion that such incompetence would cause any reasonable person to question his other judgments and decisions, and I might get on board with the intentional part...
