Even while US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton pursues her five-day visit to India, an event has occurred in the USA that could conceivably snowball into a major controversy to cut short President Obama’s tenure. Article 2, Section 1 of the US Constitution states: “No person except a US born citizen… shall be eligible to the office of President.”
During the last US campaign a controversy arose about Obama’s birthplace. Critics were unsure if he was born in the USA or Kenya. Obama’s campaign committee released a Hawaiian birth certificate on 13 June, 2008. Sceptics alleged that it had signs of forgery.
Obama maintained he was born in Hawaii. One hospital, Honolulu ‘s Kapi’olani Medical Center for Women and Children, claims it received a letter from the President declaring his birth there. But White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs refused to authenticate the letter. For nearly six months the hospital proudly declared Obama was born at its facility to create poll hype. Later it covered up and refused to confirm if the letter actually existed. The letter was purportedly signed by Barak Obama. If the signature was forged it was a most serious offence. Was any action taken against the Hospital?
This week the controversy about Obama’s birthplace resurfaced dramatically. A US Army Reserve, Major Stefan Frederick Cook, scheduled for deployment to Afghanistan, refused to serve claiming that the order was illegal because the American President was not legitimate. He argued that he should not be required to serve under a President who has not proven his eligibility for office. “As an officer in the armed forces of the United States, it is my duty to gain clarification on any order we may believe illegal. With that said, if President Obama is found not to be a ‘natural-born citizen,’ he is not eligible to be commander-in-chief,” Major Cook said. “Then any order coming out of the presidency or his chain of command is illegal. Should I deploy, I would essentially be following an illegal order. If I happened to be captured by the enemy in a foreign land, I would not be privy to the Geneva Convention protections.”
The military created shock waves by revoking the deployment order without giving any reasons. Thereby it evaded a reply to Major Cook’s objection and implicitly acknowledged that it could offer no proof of President Obama’s birth in the USA. If the military cannot vouch for President Obama’s legitimacy the implications can be very far-reaching. Major Cook’s case is being heard in the court of US District Judge David O Carter. The judge told the plaintiffs to fix their paperwork and that he would listen to “the merits” of their case. The date of the hearing was fixed for 16 July.
It is unlikely that the US mainstream media will highlight the event. But regardless of the judge’s verdict, will the issue die? If it snowballs into a crisis America could face a cruel choice. While it battles a severe economic meltdown it may have to either remove a most popular President or violate its Constitution.
These Congressmen are REQUIRED to support the Constitution by their oath of office from Article six. They are not doing so if they are not presently challenging Obama's eligibility qualifications as required in the Twentieth amendment, section 3. You cannot support the Constitution by ignoring it's being disobeyed or not enforced.

Did you get a chance to check out the 2004 newsletter from the University of Hawaii, where the reporter opened his article by writing that Obama was born in Queens Hospital?
The words "Queens" and "Kapiolani" look and sound so different, I wonder where the reporter got his information that Obama was born at Queens hospital.
My point is this: If the reporter is quoting Obama's half sister or Obama himself for the article, I have trouble believing that a reporter would confuse such vastly different words like "Queens" and "Kapiolani."
But I guess in the final analysis, you have to decide for yourself if the reporter quoted Obama and his half-sister incorrectly or correctly when the reporter wrote that Obama was born in Queens Hospital.
I wish that we could contact the original reporter today to find out if he now believes that he misquoted Obama or his half-sister when he, the reporter, wrote that Obama was born in Queens hospital.
What I find interesting is this: It seems that neither Obama nor his half-sister asked for an immediate retraction back in 2004 when the article first came out in the University newsletter and said that Obama was born in Queens hospital.
I found it strange that 4 years after the article came out in 2004, the Obama camp suddenly complained that the writer made a mistake when he said that Obama was born at Queens Hospital.

again, I don’t care what was written by a student for the purposes of the WND article.
I want to know what UPI based their story on that is the whole basis of WND galavanting around talking about scrubbing.
They are acting like Obama said he was born at the Queen’s hospital and now it is being scrubbed.
His sister could have been been lied to or she could have been mistaken or she could have been misquoted.
The relevent info to me is what OBAMA has claimed.
I don’t see anything wrong with correcting a story that a reporter got wrong. Like Chris Parry correcting his stupid info about Jim Thompson.
The issue is whether UPI is trying to cover up Obama saying he was born at Queen’s hospital or whether UPI just got it wrong.
So again, does ANYONE have ANY verifiable information that indicates OBAMA said he was born at Queen’s Hospital?
If Obama was not born at the hospital that received that letter then a Charity Fraud issue is taking place. Perhaps that is why the Hospital took it down.
The charity fraud issue is another avenue for attack to find out whether he was born there...and in fact, might be the best avenue of attack.
I hear you, Vet, but we ARE outnumbered, and we tend to be law-abiding folk.
There are so many people involved in this constitutional travesty that I fear, as in Honduras, that the military may be the only agency of government willing to act. They understand too well the final sacrifice, and might honor their orders to protect and defend their constitution. Because if they don't defend it, they will find themselves protecting and defending Chavez, Ortega, Soleya, Odinga, Abbas, Whalid Bin Talal, and Obama himself, has he redistributes what is left of our formerly great country.
McCain, by the way, received generous funding from Soros' Open Society Institute, Pew Trusts, Carnegie, The Thersa Hines funded Tides foundation. That was before and after McCain-Feingold. McCain himself has never claimed that he qualified as a natural born citizen. Was the fix in?
Speaking of his sister, does anyone find it odd that she has not visited the WH since the 1/09. Seriously, after he was inaugerated, it is like she feel off the earth.
Maybe she is not interesting enough like Billy Carter and Roger Clinton were or political like the Bush boys. But still, you would think with our “hip popular and young prez </gag> that the press would report something about her. After all she is the one’s only living blood relative from mommy’s side.
It is also quite curious that she would not use her relationship in some way, either good or bad. I am sure that there are thousands of charities that would love to have her involved. I find it very strange that she is so silent. Could it have something to do with her statement on the hospital?
Obviously they kept Grandma Dunham far from anyone who could ask questions. But you’d think since she lived in HI for so long and had a full career, she’d have had contemporaries who might remember her excitement at the birth of her first grandchild no matter where he was born.
Imagine the blackmail that other leaders that know where he was born could use against BO.
Story of the century for any reporter with the guts to pursue it.
What about the story that he used 36 SS numbers in college? That’s unbelievable if true.

But things could be DIFFERENT, especially in 1961, when the baby was conceived out of wedlock, and daughter tells the grandma to be that the father is a Negro. But still, that knowing Toot's whereabouts on Aug. 4, '61 would be an interesting piece of information.
The security guard at the local mall goes through a more rigorous background check than obama probably did.
