Not only can’t they get the name right, they don’t have their facts straight. And they have no idea about Free Republic and the FReepers!
The FReepers are the absolute best posters on the Internet, bar none!
And the FReepers have made Free Republic the number one conservative site on the Internet and in the world for 13 years running!
Thirteen years! Three hundred thousand members! Thirty million posts!!
And all of this on a shoestring budget! No star glittered IPOs or stock offerings! No commercial sponsors or advertising contracts of any kind! No sugar daddies! No BIG Bucks donors! No advertising of any kind!
We operate on a shoestring budget with funding provided solely by our readers and participants. All those $10, $20, $50 dollar donations made by our FReepers and Lurkers are all we need to maintain and keep Free Republic on the air and kicking liberal butt! We strive to meet our costs but make no attempt to profit otherwise.

I’ll put you guys up post for post, dollar per dollar, man to man, brain cell to brain cell against any other political forum on the Internet and you will shine through magnificently! No other political forum, no other group of citizen patriots can hold a candle to the FReepers!!

I’ve become more aware, more active, more informed and I have met people in this forum that are second to none...
Every single day, every sleepless night, every time I should maybe be doing something else, I find myself logging in...
I dare someone to try and silence this place...They will never, ever, be that unhappy again...
Besides, I need a place where some can poke fun at me...

Well guy. I don’t listen to Limbaugh either. FR is my news source. I’m glad that you like him, and I used to listen before there was FR, but not anymore. Not everyone that is conservative does.

FR does keep us honest, doesn't it?
I gave Rush a second shot as a subscriber. His show is dreadfully boring. It has turned into one boring economic seminar with statistics furnished by the Heritage foundation. The in-program commercials are the pits. I just cancelled.
Other shows are just as bad. Talk-radio is so afraid of the Fairness Doctrine and being accused of racism that they are boring and predictable. Savage talks about cooking and his dog and bullfighting.
At least on FR, we talk about most everything.
On FR we aren’t spoon fed info. We read what we want on a variety of subjects and are challenged to think by other posters. That’s what it’s all about.
