July 2009 sees nearly 6 months since George W Bush entered private life and as we have done in previously monthly threads I have collated photos from the month we are in from previous years.
Tonight I will post July 2001 and July 2002 photos and then over the next few days post 2003 and 2004 photos.
I have also found some photos from this June which I will also post in the next few days starting with one of them as the photo of the month.
Enjoy your visit to Sanity Island
Thanks for the great links, Deb! It’s good to know that our
president stays busy and continues to be the same energetic man he always was!
I miss him more each and every day!
That sounds like a plan!
I join you in missing our dear President more and more every day . . . at least you live in Texas!!
BTW: I noticed in a recent article about the President’s Library that they plan to have a ground breaking ceremony in 2010 . . . We should definitely plan to get a group together and attend this event — we would have such a great time!
I think it sounds like a plan too . . . As soon as the date is announced, I’ll let every one know [I’m sure they will inform those who contributed to the President’s Foundation.]
That would be awesome to get together for something like that! Keep me posted as to when, etc...and I’ll see if I can schedule that time off! It would be fun...and we’d get to see our guy...maybe....:D
Barbara, Laura, and Condolezza = epitome of classy women! Thanks for posting these great pics :)
What’s your friend’s first name? Could be that this will be what will make her start dialing back on her doing for everyone else, and start paying attention to her health. Let’s hope so.
Our #2 son is getting his PhD at UT Austin, so we’d love to go visit him. We can do that when we go see W’s library spot, since we’ll be so close. ;o)
Alysin Camerota of the weekend Fox and Friends, just announced a little while ago that Gretchen Carlson; who she is substituting for today, is on special assignment. She is interviewing former first Lady Laura Bush. The interview will be shown Monday at 6 am eastern.
Her name is Lorri.
Sad to say, in the midst of radiation treatments, she told me she already agreed to add some new stuff to her to do list. I tried to talk some sense into her to slow down, but I’m not sure she heard me. She’s a great scholar, becoming very well known in her field, but she is scared to death that she isn’t doing enough for tenure and if she says ‘no’ to anything, she’ll negatively affect her tenure chances. I think she’s mistaken, but I can’t get her to act any differently. I also think it’s a personality thing, being a people-pleaser.
Fortunately for me, I hate people, so I don’t have these issues. : )
YES! Thanks for the head’s up, Kas!!!!
Glad You are feeling better and Your computer probs are fixed!! HUGS to You & Your Dad!! <3 <3
prayers for the best outcome for your friend!
Thanks for keeping us in the know even after the blessed W H years!!!!!!!!...
You might tell her, at the proper moment (I pray God tells you when that is) that you know YOU cannot change anything in HER life; that YOU are not in charge of her life, only yours. You have prayed and prayed that she do the right thing....you are now, "prayer spent" and she's on her own. YOU MUST REALLY BELIEVE THIS WHEN YOU SAY THIS--IT'S GOT TO BE TOTALLY THE TRUTH...YOU'RE SPENT. Tell her you love her, and respect the fact that only SHE can change her habits...AND MUST (be firm). [...let a moment or two pass, then change your demeanor to sadness and say...] You will miss her dearly, if she takes her current path to her demise; but only SHE is in charge of when that happens.
By that point...said at the right time....she should be in tears and change might be possible.
THANKS FOR THE HEADS UP!
LOL! You sound like my younger sister!
I'll put Lorri on our Parish Prayer List, both for healing of the cancer, and the strength to tell people "NO"!
Hi snugs! Glad to hear both you, and your computer, are on the mend. Hope you’re Dad’s doing well, too!
"you're" should have been YOUR!!
