We are having a huge NATIONAL TEA PARTY and PROTEST AGAINST HIGH TAXES and TYRANNY on September 12, 2009 on the Mall in Washington, DC. Many groups and organizations are involved and many more are signing up daily. We are expecting hundreds of thousands of outraged citizens of every political stripe and every state to participate.
Every American who feels outrage at the fascist dictator-like takeover of America by the Marxist B. Hussein Obama and his brownshirt ACORN thugs should prepare to march! Obama is now RULING without even so much as a by your leave to the congress, much less at the consent of We The People.
HE won the election (just ask him) but that DOES NOT give him SUPREME POWER! We still have a constitution! We still have separation of powers! We still have checks and balances! We still have our sovereign state governments! And we still have individual rights and RESPONSIBLITIES to ourselves AND our POSTERITY!
Ronald Reagan reminds us that freedom is never more than one generation away from being extinct. Well, extinction is happening now right before our eyes! It is our solemn constitutional duty as Americans citizens to stand up and DEFEND our Constitution! Defend our nation! Defend our freedom! Defend and secure the Blessings of LIBERTY for ourselves and our posterity!
America is a capitalist society. A free society. Our constitution guarantees our God-given unalienable rights to Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness, and no Marxist dictator is going to be allowed to deny us what God has granted and courageous patriots before us fought and died to preserve!
American patriots have resisted tyranny and successfully defended against all enemies foreign and domestic, fighting bloody wars for freedom when necessary during all the generations preceding our own. Our generation must now rise to defend against this current threat!
B. Hussein Obama is operating without constitutional authority! And he's raping our constitution, our free economy and our LIBERTY at breathtaking speed!
He has NO constitutional authority to takeover private industries. He has no constitutional authority to use our treasury to "bail out" banks, financial institutions or insurance companies. He has no constitutional authority to takeover private companies like GM or Chrysler, or to fire or replace their executives or their boards, or to seize and force a sale of their assets, or to wipe-out their stakeholders, bondholders, or other invested entities and to reward his political cronies and allies with the plundered booty.
He has no constitutional authority to close down distributorships or to control what products can be manufactured or marketed in a free society.
He has no constitutional authority to takeover our free enterprise healthcare industry or to dictate who can provide medical products or services to whom and at what cost!
He has no constitutional authority to rob from one group of citizens to reward others or to pile on mountains of crippling debt onto future generations.
He has NO constitutional authority to do any of the above and the congress has NO constitutional authority to grant him any such powers.
The congress has abdicated its constitutional duty and responsibility to oversee and rein in an out of control chief executive. He now names his own personal Czars to rule over entire segments of our economy and society without even seeking congressional oversight or approval and again, without the consent of the people.
In short, he's operating above the congress, above the courts, above the states and out of reach of the people!
Or so he thinks!
The congress may have abdicated its duty and the courts may cower before His Royal Highness, but if I know the American people, it's just a matter of time before they say enough is enough and call for the tyrant's hide!
Socialism has been creeping in for the last 100 years or so and Americans were not so alarmed, but FASCISM will not be tolerated! And Obama IS a fascist! A socialist fascist! We had enough of that crap a half-century ago and put a stop to it!
Americans are a proud and FREE people. We believe in limited government, free enterprise, free speech, justice, Liberty! We are a resourceful, self-reliant, self-governing people. We aggressively defend our lives, families, livelihoods and our right to be free! We are armed to the teeth and mean to remain so. No fascist tyrant will disarm us or take our freedom! Ever!

The TEA Party movement started soon after the tyrant Obama starting rearing his ugly fascist side. Hundreds of thousands of concerned citizens turned out in hundreds of cities to protest against government tyranny on April 15, and thousands more have been protesting ever since.
Now is the time for hundreds of thousands of us to March on Washington and tell Obama and the congress that enough is enough! We the people are fed up and we're not going to take it anymore!
Join us in D.C. on September 12, 2009. It is free and open to all and hundreds of thousands of us will be there. This event is not organized by Free Republic or any other single group. It's a grassroots development and dozens of groups and organizations are involved!
If you are outraged by Obama's fascist takeover, then it's time to report for duty! If at all possible, please be there!!
And now for something completely separate and independent of the above National Tea Party. Some of us on Free Republic thought that this might be an ideal opportunity to hold a national convention for FReepers and friends. We don't have a large number of FReepers gathering in DC very often. Seeing as how we're going to be there for the National Tea Party Protest anyway, how about if we also get together at a single hotel so we can meet and greet, dine and break bread together?
So we selected a hotel that had enough rooms and a large enough banquet and ballroom facility to handle our large group. And we negotiated a rate for the rooms and banquets so that the total cost for the rooms plus the banquet dinner and brunch events would not be that much more than what it would have cost for the rooms and meals only if each person had to book with the hotel at the regular non-discounted individual rates. Yes, the tickets are a bit on the expensive side, but then a facility that can hold a nice banquet dinner of 400-600 people, plus other extras costs quite a bit and we had to commit to a certain number of attendees and a cost per person.
We also wanted to make sure it was a nice event. A tent on the mall with hamburgers and hotdogs did not seem appropriate.
We also wanted to attract some nationally known and well-respected conservative speakers. That means we must have an attractive and secure venue. So, we have what we have. And I think it's doable for most folks that can make their way to D.C.
Again, this national Freeper convention is separate from the National Tea Party Protest and in no way should detract from that great event. Even if you can't attend our convention, please try to make it to the Tea Party Protest in D.C. Our Liberty depends on it!

This Saturday, the 27th, at 2:00 P.M., I am one of the invited speakers for a rally in Ripley, Ohio, an old Ohio River town about 40 miles east of Cincinnati. My hope is to not only stir the grass roots to the defense of liberty, but to give the audience the tools to rip the ideological pretenses of the Marxist influenced demagogues and charlatans inside the Beltway to shreds. It is not only the American heritage they trash and dishonor, it is all the lessons garnered from human experience throughout the historic period that they ignore.
What we confront is beyond mere evil, beyond mere stupidity, beyond merely a demagogic power play. It combines all of the above in a movement that would have been given very short shrift by the brave, wise men, who founded America. God grant us the insight to reawaken their spirit and understanding, despite the corrupt media, academia and bureaucracy arrayed against us. America needs to turn these usurpers away from the seats of power.

Jim that was a great post!!!! We plan to attend but it will depend on what the hurricanes are doing at that time since that is right at the height or hurricane season. Hopefully it won’t be an active season and we will see you in DC.

We also plan to attend but we are living in Houston/Kemah TX and Ike got us last season we also will have to see what the hurricane season brings our way at that time and pray it will be all clear. As many of you know our home and boat was damaged and boat was lost last season (see my profile) still a little shell shock here. Been to 2 D.C. events with the FReepers would not miss it.

We evacuate if the order goes out but we have 2 homes and a business to secure, no easy task. One of the homes is right on the open Atlantic. The boat has to be taken to the marina and pulled out. All business and personal vehicles either driven out or placed on highest ground. Everything outside has to be taken in and secured. It takes at least 2 days to prepare. If there is a storm approaching, no way would we leave. It would be impossible.
