I've never heard of the Cagiva Elephant before today. My entry in that class is the Suzuki DR650SE. Air cooled. Reliable. The seat height is low enough to allow me to get both feet on the ground. The dealer is local and provides good service.

these people are talking about shutting down talk radio and even have mentioned content controls online. This admin argued in front of SCOTUS (the Citizens United case) that the Prez has the power to ban books and films that even touch on politics.
and the MSM will treat us to Republicans like Colin Powell, Meghan McCain and Tom Ridge. Plus with ACORN helping to count the votes in 2012, I think the chance of getting any conservatives into office are nil.

Now let’s see if there is a silver lining for conservatives. The irresponsible liberals and statists may indeed get away with many of these policies. Of course, conservatives will fight them at every turn.
However, if it is inevitable that socialized health care becomes a reality, conservatives should prepare by making prudent investments. Consider shorting some of the smaller health care companies (CIGNA, Assurant, Coventry etc) as they will be the first victims. Carbon taxes will kill heavy manufacturing but particularly coal interests. You have already alluded to Treasuries and some type of treasury fund short is in order (TBT, anti-inflation funds). Precious metals, oil (Brazil, China companies not US) are also a must.
It essential for conservatives to act in our financial self interest now as an act of self preservation because our future voice will necessarily depend on our financial condition.
And if liberals get a little poorer at their own expense and conservatives fail to fall into their trap, a little schadenfreude is not such a bad thing.

I have been loading up .45ACP with lead bullets lately.
I mine my club range by the steel plates and pick up 60lbs of lead per trip.....then I smelt it in an old pot my wife dont want ouside on the coleman stove and make ingots out of a muffin tin. then I use a lee furnace to melt the clean lead into bullet molds.
as long as you can get primers and powder you can turn out rounds for around $3.00 per box of 50 .45 ACP and that's at usurious prices for primers.....
my lead rounds shoot every bit as well as FMJ loads in my 1944 Remington Rand. I save the hollow points for carry.

The Cagiva got famous in that African/french moto rally.
What the hell was the name of it?
The thing was a tank

“my wife is still upset about my last two gun purchases”
There was this poor guy who was gazing at the gun cases at our local Academy ...until his Wife found him.
I hear, “What the Hell are YOU doing!” from down the aisle.
“You Don't Need Anymore Guns!” at the top of her voice.
Then she physically grabs him by the back of his neck and forces him out the door. (she was the larger of the two)
Never been so embarrassed for a *husband* in all my life.

Predictions :
1. We'll all have flying cars and live in cities in the clouds.
2. New breakthroughs in science will cure all cancer. We will also discover that boredom is actually caused by childhood vaccination.
3. An especially virulent strain of mumps will wipe out most of civilization and leave the rest looking like Lee Raymond.
4. As civilization collapses, we will all have to choose sides in an apocalyptic battle between good and evil. But the battle will quickly fizzle as the last stores of junk food begin to decay. Good and evil will unite to re-open a twinkie factory.
5. An authoritative historical record of the rise and fall of civilization will be written, copied, and passed down. However, much like the game of telephone that children play, the text will be mutated, and will result in a cult that worships an autographed photo of Wilford Brimley. The world will be at peace until an asteroid ends humankind in 2275.
Over the next several million years, squirrels become the predominant intelligent life on planet Earth.

cabelas will take orders and when it comes in it comes it and they will ship.
Midwayusa will put you on a list and email ya when tbey come in .
problem is if you want more than one kind of primer, unless you buy a lot of what they have in stock, you have to pay a $20 hazmat fee so the more you can buy the cheaper it will be.

They are just plain hard to come by.
The hazmat fee has always applied.
Wideners is one of the biggests suppliers in the world.
A bet Cabelas buys from them
