Updated with direct link.
No, he was an undergrad (a senior, probably having trouble facing the fact that a patently insane person like himself was certainly never going to be able to get a job after graduation).
I just heard that on radio news also.
CNN really playing up the ‘stressed out’ angle. News conference from DOD at 2:00 pm. CNN now saying the shooter is in custody. CNN says they don’t know if he was a patient at the clinic or not..yet they are reporting that he was likely a ‘stressed out’ soldier. That seems like they are reporting their opinions as facts.
God how I hate our media!!
BTT
I’n glad you are okay!
*HUG*
We gonna meet in Texas in October?
;0)
Thanks for the link. I am busy with my ill mom this morning and cannot follow the news very close.
Prayers for the families of those involved. It is very sad.
It was rigged. His advance allowed only those who voted for him to be where he would be greeted.
I have a real hard time believing this was done by an American soldier, even if they were under great stress. I could even understand shooting yourself, but to shoot other soldiers just for being around, is quite unbelievable. There has to be a big piece of this story missing.
...glad to hear that you are SAFE. I was wondering!
So, either the reporter who said that the shooter killed himself was wrong, or maybe he tried to kill himself but failed. Or . . . I guess we just have to wait until word gets out through channels more reliable than MSM reporters.
Stay safe!!! And, THANK you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yeah. The MSM has an agenda. If it destroys our liberty - it's considered breaking news.
it happens. I saw it happen stateside firsthand in the mid 90’s. guy just lost his mother, thought his squad leader was picking on him, then all hell broke loose. he had a 12 gauge he bought off-post stashed in his wall locker. he shot two (one died, the other had buckshot in his jaw and arm and suffered nerve damage) then he shot himself in the latrine.
Dang, that had to hurt. Last joker that aimed at my latrine is not around anymore.
Terrible, but the reality is that incidents like these are so rare as to be almost statistically insignificant.
Imagine the equation: # of armed U.S. forces or citizens X percent stressed out (definition?) X # of seconds X # of minutes X # hours X 365 days = number of incidents per year
The equation may need to be tweaked, but you get the picture. These stories are fodder for anti-human being liberals and the MSM (I repeat myself) to prove:
The US is bad, as are its people, too much freedom is dangerous, and guns are inherently dangerous, so just let us manage things for you, OK?
“The killers did this because ....”
followed by some condition, problem circumstance which invariably explains nothing because at any given time there are 5 million people with an identical condition, problem or circumstance who do not kill anyone.
“The shooter was upset about losing his job” explains nothing; 11 million other people are upset about losing there jobs also, but don't kill someone.”
Why is the obvious fact that the killer was an evil bad person not sufficient. Why can't people simply say he killed his family because he was an evil scum bag.
In a vast majority of these cases the perpetrator made a conscious decision to do something they absolutely knew to be wrong.
________________
In addition I have no real interest in what the killers biography is, I am not interested in any unfortunate events or difficulties which happened to them prior to the offense. The perpetrators childhood or other life experiences are no more relevant to what should be done to them, than whether a particular rabid dog was a good or bad pet, prior to their contracting rabies. The dog may have been a hero that saved a drowning child, what matters is that they are a danger to other animals and people and must be destroyed.
I can feel really bad for a killer and what happened to them that may have influenced or made them more likely to commit such an evil act, that doesn't mean I wouldn't pull the switch on the electric chair.
Wow, I can’t wait to hear why this turd had his (I assume) panties in a wad. String him up, save the tax payers some dough.
More likely the soldier was burnt out from convoy duty; like riding in the point truck one time too many.
