Given our politically correct society, official channels are not likely to reveal the guilty soldier's religious affiliation.
Latest update from NBC (plus lengthy combination of other stories of attacks on US bases):
BAGHDAD - A U.S. service member opened fire on fellow members of the military, killing four and wounding several others, at the main U.S. base in Baghdad, officials told NBC News on Monday.
NBC’s Jim Miklaszewski reported the assailant took his own life after the violent outburst. The attacker was described as a “stressed out” U.S. soldier.
The military said in a statement that the shooting occurred about 2 p.m. at Camp Liberty near Baghdad International Airport.
We'll probably get the details from the foreign press first. I'm still looking, but so far no luck.
To diminish the soldiers by claiming the stress of deployment makes them murderers of comrades is beneath contempt.

There are no good words to describe how I’m feeling at this news - though I’m very happy to know you’re okay. Prayers to the families of the victims, and that they discover the truth about this attack very quickly.

I doubt this had anything to do with who the CIC is.
Because the MSM doesn’t want to have to report a US muslim soldier as killing his own troops. They’d rather it be a right wing redneck activist agitator.

Well, “was described” is either stupidly or deliberately in the passive, so it could be anyone who so described him. Another reporter, the military spokesman, someone standing around, or the reporter just made it up. Typical MSM.
They pretty much know. They just need to complete the investigation and contact the families before they can release anything substantial.
