Are Congress and Obama Deliberately Inciting a New US Civil War?
Canadian Free Press ^ | March 20, 2009 | Sher Zieve

With the events that have transpired over the last 58 days—since Obama and his adherents commandeered the US presidency—fear is now becoming the order of each and every day for many of We-the-People. ....... ....has led me to believe that both Congress and Obama are in the process of purposefully creating conditions that will lead to a revolution by We-the-People so that it and Obama can affect Martial Law and once and for all forcibly suppress the American people

The Senate needs be appointed by the Governors to represent the States

Before the 17th Amendment, each State Legislature chose its State's Senators. Do you believe gubernatorial appointment is better than legislative selection?

Everything else in your post is dead on.

Nobody elected King George.
Obama was elected and he gets 4 years to try to push through anything he wants.
We get a chance to elect some people in a year and a half that will say “NO”.

Keep in mind that what our founding fathers did was treason until they won. They had been quite willing to live as subjects of the King. All they wanted was to be heard and to have a voice. When they couldn’t even have that small gift that was given to the subjects who lived in Britian they couldn’t tolerate it and decided it was better to die than to live like that. They knew it was treason which is why Ben Franklin said that we had better hang together or we will all hang seperately.

You have the power to associate with like minded souls and when the government won’t listen you can remove them without committing treason. That is the greatest gift that any person could ever leave his ancestors and I will not besmirch them by comparing our lot with theirs.

Just because I can still vote in a national election, I should be quiet while my country slips away? I live 10 miles from Patrick Henry’s house, I would guess that he would think that today’s problems are much worse than his contemporary. The King was only exacting small percentage for taxation, now the socialists want to tax at 90%? Tyranny is tyranny whether by a socialist mob or monarch. Your little self righteous rant, though well written, needs more thought.

Thank you for pointing that out. It’s one of my pet peeves. The 17th knocked the wind out of the 10th. No one in congress cares about the migration of state authority into congress any more. Now the only entity in washington that has any incentive to uphold the Tenth is the supreme court. That our country is upside down can be witnessed by noting the amount due on our state and federal tax forms are reversed from what they should be.

Fighting for the Constitution would be patriotism, so you have your analysis exactly backwards. The military oath of loyalty is to the Constitution, NOT to the party in power and NOT to any politician. Fighting against those who subvert and destroy the Constitution in the US would be fulfillment of the oath, not a violation of it.

Exactly.

Eventually the tipping point will come. At what point do we find the resident of the White House to be treasonous?

What about a finding of insanity after the GOP regains control of Congress in 2010? Incapacity, but then... Joe Biden isn't much better. Notice how Hillary's been very quiet lately?

“Some criticize the Republicans for shipping the jobs overseas.”

Taxes, regulations, unions and lawyers are the reasons why manufacturing has been fleeing the US.

Four of dhimmicrats favorite things.

How does the federal government "force" the USAF to fire on fellow Americans? As for your "oath", is it ever possible for members of the federal government to be the "enemies" against whom the USAF is to protect the People? I'm sure this is not your intention, but your comment above gives the impression that the USAF consists of mindless drones. I hope our American soldiers and sailors are able to identify this countries domestic enemies.

I see police officers all over town with shaved bald heads. They look like pro-wrestlers or thugs. If I were chief, I'd demand a clean cut, respectable look so the public isn't intimidated by these officers. I don't doubt that some of these guys would very eagerly uphold the "Obama law" with a gun. Its a new world folks...

Like it or not the “mob” was elected. Whats going to happen is in a year and a half, people will be fed up with this crap and they will vote a lot of these idiots out of office. Its shaping up to be a replay of 1994.

Look on the bright side. Its been about 8 weeks and all ready people are saying “Darn the Republicans were the party of (more) fiscal responsibility after all”. The country will swing back right and the republicans will act like conservatives till they get complacent and think they have some right to govern and start acting like dems. Then we will go through this same thing all over.

The people that are ranting on this thread are the ones suggesting that there is going to be a civil war. I think threads like this marganilize the entire site.

I never said anyone should be quiet about any of the crap that has happened, and I have been thinking about this since threads like this popped up in the 1990s during Clinton’s administration. He was going to declare martial law and we were all going to have to fight the government.

If you don't mind what state do you live in? I ask because the more Northern and Californian a person is, the more likely he/she is to belittle any of that wild eye secessionist talk. Just a hunch.

It's not the elected Mob I'm worried about. They are a joke. They are a symptom of the diseased body politic and are irrelevant to me right now. It's my fellow Socialist Americans who inhabit most major cities and have complete control of the Northeast and California. The best way to stop this disease is to cut the diseased limbs off, save as much of the fairly descent areas that are left of the main body.

10 years of unchecked illegal immigration have changed everything. Newt did a good job of keep the populist govt. in check in the 90's. There is now nothing between the salivating horde and the treasury. It's Katy bar the door time.

On the John Gibson show, Sen. Demint said he believes that Obama is ‘intetionally’ using the financial crisis in order to implement his socialistic agenda.

We must have more elected officials publicly express their revulsion of Obama’s unConstitutional agenda and his naked use of illegal tactics.

Obama is plainly not adhering to the spirit of the Declaration of Independence and it is clearly causing people to lose years of wealth. All for his selfish aims in a marxist power grab.

The case must be made without fear.

Those elected officials that are in agreement with our easily justifiable concerns, must turn the heat way up on their rhetoric.

Politicians must be willing to sacrifice their political career in order to get our grievances vociferously aired.

Well said.

The Founders’ provision you referenced is the Declaration of Independence.

Many are unaware and others choose to ignore that it ‘is’ codified law in the USA.
