Just because I can still vote in a national election, I should be quiet while my country slips away? I live 10 miles from Patrick Henry’s house, I would guess that he would think that today’s problems are much worse than his contemporary. The King was only exacting small percentage for taxation, now the socialists want to tax at 90%? Tyranny is tyranny whether by a socialist mob or monarch. Your little self righteous rant, though well written, needs more thought.

Like it or not the “mob” was elected. Whats going to happen is in a year and a half, people will be fed up with this crap and they will vote a lot of these idiots out of office. Its shaping up to be a replay of 1994.

Look on the bright side. Its been about 8 weeks and all ready people are saying “Darn the Republicans were the party of (more) fiscal responsibility after all”. The country will swing back right and the republicans will act like conservatives till they get complacent and think they have some right to govern and start acting like dems. Then we will go through this same thing all over.

The people that are ranting on this thread are the ones suggesting that there is going to be a civil war. I think threads like this marganilize the entire site.

I never said anyone should be quiet about any of the crap that has happened, and I have been thinking about this since threads like this popped up in the 1990s during Clinton’s administration. He was going to declare martial law and we were all going to have to fight the government.
