Our idea of homosexuality vs. heterosexuality was absent in the ancient Greek world. The relevant factor for them was the “role” played in the encounter, not the sex of the partner. Generally speaking, a man was expected to have relationships with both men and women, and that was just fine, as long as he limited himself to the “active” role, at least once he was fully adult.
Those men who as adults limited themselves to male lovers, particularly in the passive role, were despised just about as much as they were in the 19th century. What counted was that an aristocratic man, the only ones who counted as fully human in their worldview, must always remain dominant in any relationship. It was absolutely taken for granted, for instance, that such men would routinely use their slaves, both male and female, for sexual gratification whenever they felt like it.
IOW, the ancient Greek world assumed all men were bisexual, as indeed were their gods. The dichotomy between attraction to males OR attraction to females was just absent from their mental architecture.
However, there is a great deal of contradictory stuff on this issue in the ancient Greek literature, and it is quite possible that attitudes fluctuated over the many centuries involved.
