An irrational fear of weapons, generally guns, usually occuring as a result of a liberal upbringing or the fact that the person is just a wimp in general. Rather than deal with the fear said hoplophobe will assign human characteristics to a weapon ie "guns are evil" or "guns kill" to justify the fear rather than deal with the core problem of being a sissy.
Due to his aversion to weapons, all the the police could do for young Seth the hoplophobe was chalk his cold dead body out on the floor as he had no defense for the thug that broke into his one bedroom apartment in San Fran, the policed noted the irony in the fact that the killer had scored three hits in the "O" portion of Seth's OBAMA 08 T-shirt.

Homosexuals and their sexual activist allies should just leave their sexual peculiarities out of politics. There are so many more important issues to address. More people die of snakebite than die because of anti-gay “hate crimes”. It is ridiculous that such a small population has their peculiar interests elevated so far above the interests of the rest of us.
More kids are bullied because they are just plain awkward,small, fat, or have bad acne than ever because they appear “gay” yet those ego-centric flaming self identified gays are given all the attention and those teens who don’t fit the stereotypical sex attributes are pushed towards identifying themselves as gay when the truth is they often just want feel like they belong and that is the danger of the liberal idiocy where this is concerned.
