CNBC's Rick Santelli this morning at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange With tongue only partially in cheek, a CNBC analyst on the floor of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange this morning responded to President Obama's proposed $275 billion deficit-financed homeowner bailout plan and other massive spending measures with a call for a new "tea party."
Rick Santelli, in a nearly three-minute rant that drew approving hoots and comments from nearby traders, said the Obama administration's promotion of bad behavior must be causing the founding fathers to roll over in their graves.
"We're thinking of having a Chicago Tea Party in July," Santelli told CNBC "Squawk Box" co-anchor Joe Kernan. "All you capitalists who want to show up at Lake Michigan, I'm going to start organizing."

He’s right. There is a tremendous moral hazard in bailing out homeowners who made these stupid decisions. Besides that, the money could much better be used to help out the financial sector, on which our national economy depends.
Thousands of workers and millions of shareholders lost huge amounts of money in the financial market collapse. Use the dollars earmarked for deadbeat homeowners to give more help to those who lost investments and incomes through the collapse of America’s finance sector.

We rent the house we live in.
We did not think it was a good idea to buy a house with “no money down” and “no income check.”
Why should OUR tax money be used to keep other people in houses they should NEVER have bought?

How appropriate that this took place in Chicago, the city where Obama and his corrupt cronies did their dastardly work.

God bless Rick Santelli! He rocks!
<<<He has always been strainghtforward and hard hitting. I just emailed CNBC and complimented them and him on the best commentary since the election!

I'm shocked they didn't pull the plug on him. It was rather telling that the coworker attempted to chalk it up to Santelli’s persuasion as if it didn't really reflect America's mood to Obama’s wealth redistribution from the working class to the lazy class.

Our leaders and talk show hosts need to organize a coordinated TEA PARTY in every major U.S. city. BINGO! On the Fourth of July... Declare our independence from socialist idiotness.
