Just throwing out a handful of ideas for discussion:
- How to develop local chapters/conservative grassroots groups.
- Develop a conservative platform and a plan for recruiting, training, supporting and electing conservative candidates.
- Develop ideas for building an effective nationwide conservative grassroots network.
- How to combat the Fairness Doctrine? Install offshore servers? Private BBS? Email/Phone/Fax lists? Shortwave radio? Local/personal networking?
- Working with other conservative groups, political parties?
- Would a FReeper PAC be feasible? Practical? Effective?
- Would a FReeper 527 organization be feasible? Practical? Effective?
- How to infiltrate/influence local political organizations?
- Select and fund delegates for a national convention should our membership decide one is needed.

I’m just saying that there are already people in Meetups who love the U. S. Constitution and the U. S. Bill of Rights and will protect them, ya’ know?

Sorry, Ron Paul does not impress me. And I’m not interested in joining with folks who ally themselves with our enemies.

And that seems to be a big part of the problem.
To: Jim Robinson
I think you mean the Far Left-Wing Liberals, Chicago Thugs, and Alinsky groups perhaps?

Hi Jim,
is it possible to make the message boards combined or linked, so we can post and share discussion on more than one?
Like we have NY NJ PA area that we could use the tri-state board to communicate among ourselves?
For now it looks like one has unsubsrcibe from one to join another to be able to post there and then back.
Thanks!

Do you think that the lefties like your brother in law will come to their senses one of these days & reject the policies of Obama, that will be taxing us all into poverty?
Maybe Obama has already overstepped and we’re starting to see a revolt not just of the Right, but the Left, too.

No. He still forwards his daily Obama Action emails to my wife.
To: Retired Greyhound
Retired Greyhound, You all need to put a stop to that now. If your wife doesn’t appreciate those Obama Action e-mails from him, she needs to tell him to stop.

Actually, she likes to read them so that we know what the enemy is up to.
I am going to get on his insider list so I recieve the text when he orders his minions to start arresting conservatives.

That event, along with many others of course, showed the power of us being able to link and communicate. Now we take it for granted. We've become lazy. Another factor is that many of the people who had the passion and energy to organize these things are no longer Freepers. Some of them walked away, and others were banned. A few more walked away after others were banned. Those people may still have a vision for change and the desire to act for change, but disagreements drove them from us and us from them. We aren't as unified as we were fifteen years ago.

You are SO CORRECT! Check your FReepmail Monday. I'll be posting a report on the Pittsburgh Tea Party but the FRmail will have more details that are in line with your post.

To: Jedidah
I strongly suggest a pinned thread where we discuss and define the few MAJOR conservative principles that unite us and that we are ALL willing to fight for, so that when we do begin to organize on the local level we already have ourselves focused on the task ahead and dont waste time arguing for our pet issues. The problem is that even when we agree on principles, we don't agree on the path forward on those principles or the issues that surround them. Plenty of us who believe strongly in the Second Amendment eventually decided that we could forgive past statements by Mitt Romney and believed that he would do no harm to us as president. We enthusiastically supported his candidacy. Others who hold to the same principles believed that he was just playing games and would grab our guns as quickly as the Democrats would if he ever reached the White House. Ultimately, we're each going to spend our efforts in the direction that we think is best.
