Call to action: Possible Action Items for Regional FReeper Conventions
Feb 18, 2009

Just throwing out a handful of ideas for discussion:
- How to develop local chapters/conservative grassroots groups.
- Develop a conservative platform and a plan for recruiting, training, supporting and electing conservative candidates.
- Develop ideas for building an effective nationwide conservative grassroots network.
- How to combat the Fairness Doctrine? Install offshore servers? Private BBS? Email/Phone/Fax lists? Shortwave radio? Local/personal networking?
- Working with other conservative groups, political parties?
- Would a FReeper PAC be feasible? Practical? Effective?
- Would a FReeper 527 organization be feasible? Practical? Effective?
- How to infiltrate/influence local political organizations?
- Select and fund delegates for a national convention should our membership decide one is needed.

I certainly will add you to the list. I will probably start a thread on this today or this weekend and ping you.

Hey Mayor-—the radio gig was great.
Yup - we are still here - more outspokenly conservative than ever and willing to plan something here in the land of the sheep.

***...I think the first concern is to find out how to get the fence-riders off the fence.***
Absolutely true! Those who were taken in by Obama’s promises, need to be awakened to the truth. Getting it down to something so simple that even they will understand is vastly important.
EXAMPLE:
Socialized Medicine: You’re going to hate it when you’re in severe pain and have to wait months to see a doctor.
ALSO:
Perhaps we should punch up that even Putin has recently said that Socialism does NOT work, and that Russia tried and it failed [miserably].

EXCELLENT idea about getting Rush, etc. behind our plans. If I’m not mistaken, Rush never says he’s a Pubbie, but calls himself a conservative. Perhaps we should remember that when naming our group.

Still here Mayor.
Just so distracted by the new "Renaissance" here in WNY since Mayor Brown and Congressman Higgins have been in office. Ain't it wonderful! Why that new Peace Bridge and the hotels and restaurants on the waterfront are just amazing! Oh, wait. Sorry, that must of been a dream I had recently. At least we don't have Hillary to kick around anymore though.
I just wish I lived in Chicago and could join that "New Boston Tea Party" and throw some tax forms and derivative stock certs. into the lake!

I would be happy to organize, or help organize, a West Texas get-together to jump-start this area. If those in the Lubbock, Midland, Odessa, Seminole, others in West Texas would contact me, we’ll get this rolling. (However, Lubbock might prefer to be in a Panhandle group, if they’d rather, but they’d be more than welcome in this one)

Charlottesville area here.
Could network with Richmond/Fredericksburg/Orange/Farmville.
Am kind of busy with Church stuff, but could assist. Come summer (late June) EITHER a big life change is hitting me OR I could really help with organizing.

“Perhaps we should remember that when naming our group.”
Your exactly right. Please dont let this become a republican organization. The libs have been very smart in naming their organizations - of course they are ultra-leftist but instead use patriot type names.
We are conservatives and constitutionalist, we must move the country by focusing on our freedoms, or lack thereof, not our political allegiance.

This is a call out to all of the Freepers in Arizona - lets get this started. The time is now - I have never been one to organize or attend rallys but that has all changed - Im willing to do what it takes - are there any other AZ freepers willing to work with me?
Our lives and our freedoms depend on our actions - words no longer hold meaning - this is it, if you value your life and the constitution you should meet up with people who feel the same way. If TSHTF it would be good to know who we can depend on.

That's great there is a lot of interest and discussion.on your State FR page!
When ever I've traveled across the country on Support The Troops and Stop Obama tours, we always had a good response in Arizona.
Keep up the good work
