McCain cites bad bipartisan start with Obama [still wants to "sit down together"]

WASHINGTON (AP) — Sen. John McCain says President Barack Obama failed to include Republicans in writing the big economic stimulus bill.

The Arizona Republican says the $787 billion measure will create what he calls "generational theft" — huge federal deficits for years to come.

McCain, who lost the presidential race to Obama, says the president is backtracking on promises of bipartisanship. McCain is not happy with the process that led to passage of the stimulus bill. He calls it a bad beginning to Obama's presidency.

McCain acknowledges that Republicans excluded Democrats when the GOP held power on Capitol Hill. But he says Obama had promised to work differently.

McCain offers this advice: "Let's start over now and sit down together."

“McCain acknowledges that Republicans excluded Democrats when the GOP held power on Capitol Hill.”

I’m also getting sick of McCain’s RINO lies. This is akin to his saying that we are torturing at Club Gitmo. Remember that?

Can't McNuts just go away? He's sat down together with the democrats way too often. That's worked out well, hasn't it? Just retire while you're behind, McNuts!

McCain acknowledges that Republicans excluded Democrats when the GOP held power on Capitol Hill.

Now that is a blatant lie, and is useful only as cover for Obama.

Uhhhh. No it isn't.

House Dems were excluded from the original drafting of the medicare prescription drug bill. Insurance and drug company reps were invited in, and even helped write it, but Dems were excluded by then-House Speaker Hastert.

And when it came time for the vote, it was allocated the typical 15 minutes.

It didn't have enough yea's to pass -- there were 5 (IIRC) Republican holdouts. Hastert changed the rules and extended the voting to stay open. That 15-minute vote turned in to a nearly 2.5-hour vote. After the arm-twisting of the 5 holdouts was done and the measure passed.

Senator McCain, you lost.

Therefore, you are a loser.

Get lost.

That was hardly a comprehensive list of Republican naughtiness in the Senate, but is probably enough to encourage John McCain to keep flapping his jaw. Thanks.

Hey McCain. Ya don’t “sit down together” with leftwing socialist vermin who hold politics as their religion. You exterminate them with ideas and the truth.

Out there in the dum world, McCain’s complaints have credibility.

Since he was publicly supporting this new president it is doubly important when he criticizes Obama.

Like it or not, McC has street creds to the mushy muddled headed middle.

He had his chance in 2008 and blew it big time, going out now would not be a disgrace.

Ya, He ran a perfect Bob Dole race, and I told him so the last time I got a request for money for the quasi-republicans.

Go Sarah!

McCain is a fool - no more, no less. Had it not been for Sarah Palin, his defeat in November would have been of Mondale like proportions.

McCain doesn’t have a chance in hell of getting a campaign contribution from me for a 2012 run.

Now Sarah Palin - that’s a different animal. She is going to be our new president in 2013.

She needs to start organizing her grass roots now. Take Alaska economic junkets to Europe and Asia, and in general just be a pain in the $ss for the democrats.

“Bush, McCain, and so many others fall for this “bipartisan” idiocay every time. We and the rest of the country pay for it over and over. I pray to God that the Senate Republicans learn from the House Republicans. I’m not very hopeful, but maybe they will wise up”

The new Republicans need to do the exact opposite what Juan Gods Children McCain says.
