McCain cites bad bipartisan start with Obama [still wants to "sit down together"]

WASHINGTON (AP) — Sen. John McCain says President Barack Obama failed to include Republicans in writing the big economic stimulus bill.

The Arizona Republican says the $787 billion measure will create what he calls "generational theft" — huge federal deficits for years to come.

McCain, who lost the presidential race to Obama, says the president is backtracking on promises of bipartisanship. McCain is not happy with the process that led to passage of the stimulus bill. He calls it a bad beginning to Obama's presidency.

McCain acknowledges that Republicans excluded Democrats when the GOP held power on Capitol Hill. But he says Obama had promised to work differently.

McCain offers this advice: "Let's start over now and sit down together."

Very likely the same spirit of working together that German politicians felt for Hitler!

I’m really tired of McCain, he’s so obviously already in campaign mode for the 2010 election doing his best to shore up his conservative bonafides.

Why doesn’t he just retire to his 8 homes, drive his 7 cars and spend time with his fairly attractive wife and grandchildren and leave politics to those with actual credibility. He had his chance in 2008 and blew it big time, going out now would not be a disgrace.

If Juan really wanted to do something “bipartisan” he would join the republican party. If he really wanted to do something for the nation, he would retire.

Earth to McKennedy, earth to McKennedy.

Go away. Cease. Go somewhere and vegetate (which is what your poor excuse for a brain seems to have done during your pathetic campaign).

To be blunt: we despise you. We loathe you. May the flies of a thousand camels come to rest in your beer. May an unclean yak back into your linen closet. May you have to make love with Nancy Pelosi (gagggggggg).

If Juan really wanted to do something “bipartisan” he would join the republican party. If he really wanted to do something for the nation, he would retire. But of course as neither would create the fawning, slobbering MSM lovefest around which all of his decisions/actions/words are crafted, he’ll just go on being a useful idiot.

LOL
I just got an email from McCain the other day. He’s asking for money for his re-election. He mistakenly thinks that since I “supported” him for POTUS (no choice), that I’m going to support his re-election as AZ Senator. Not.

Hey Johnny, nothing to say about your good friends and colleagues Arlen Specter? Snow? What’s her name?

I wonder if McCain would ever acknowledge the reason he lost is because he isn’t a real conservative. Can a RINO recognize they are one?

McCain offers this advice: "Let's start over now and sit down together."

I believe this is the attitude of the majority of the Repub. Senators. It is why nothing will be done to rein in the trators Specter - Snow - Collins.

How much more obvious could McCain be. He’s merely saying I will be a help to you if you allow me to appear important. And I’ll bring my little sidekick along with me.

“McCain acknowledges that Republicans excluded Democrats when the GOP held power on Capitol Hill.”

BS. Leave it to McPain to conveniently forget “Reaching across the aisle”.

The “Bipartisanship” reflected in the “Contract with America” is mostly responsible for empowering the Democrats to succeed in 2006 as they were able to obfuscate throughout the entire time the Repubs had the majority. The Leftists were able to confuse and limit the process due “Bipartisanship” IMO.

There is no negotiating, there is no such a thing as “Bipartisanship” with Political Terrorists such as the Socialist/Democrat Party.

Had Repubs actually excluded the Soc/Dems, and we had strong leadership that we did not, the Soc/Dems wouldn’t be where they are today.
