The new Great Communicator ... isn't (Libs getting nervous)

Obama is the most remarkable Democratic communicator of my lifetime, I think, and even he's not rising to the task, yet. He needs to lay out his priorities, clearly; he needs to simplify his pitch, yet he also needs to add some depth to his and our understanding of how we got here. This economic crisis is not just about bad mortgages and/or the housing bubble bursting, and it won't be solved by reinflating that bubble, the Republicans' latest dumb idea. These problems have been building since at least the 1970s. Here's how Reich laid it out on Salon....

I still have yet to understand why people think this. He reads a teleprompter pretty well, but the words are still empty and meaningless. He sure as hell can't speak off-script.

What exactly passes for "communication" in the liberal mind?

I think the fun part was running for president. It is wonderful to think that America worships you. The hard part is what to do after you win.

I will NEVER forget the look in Obama's eyes during his victory speech on election night. He was terrified. He has no game and he knows it. Unfortunately for him, Washington is not middle America and they will use him like a cheap whore and spit him out when they find him no longer useful.

And that is just the Democrats!!!

This has to be the most negative, irresponsible, self-centered, greenhorn ever ELECTED to a position of power.

And to think we rid ourselves of the British Monarchy for this era of Princes of Privilege.

LOL...yeah, that was funny. Almost as ridiculous was the overwhelming relief on John McCain's face!

Obama is the most remarkable Democratic communicator of my lifetime,

Seriously, where?

His speech's are delivered in a boring monotone passionless voice and add in all the ummms and I just don't see how anybody can say he's a great speech maker.

And it's not because I find him detestable, I also found BJ detestable but I can give the devil his due and can say he knew how to work a crowd. Obama (Take away the fawning crowd) is flat and boring,

Methinks the press just repeated the fact over and over that he gives good speeches and it just became what people believe.

His first address to the nation should end this illusion

It goes back to that black preacher style. For some reason, that tone and cadence resonates with white liberals. Its been working since the 1960s. They must believe he's some sort of prophet from G-d or something.

This would make a great screen play for a sad movie.

Yep! And he has been taking every opportunity to remind us of it.

I guess every time he signs a bill we will be assailed with his image and his pompous diatribe, "the people made a choice on Nov. 4"!

Hey, a$$hole, it was the Commie Rats idea in the first place: forcing banks to give loans to people that they knew had no way to repay them, in order to satisfy socialist ideology (aka. the 'Community Reinvestment Act').

Here's a better idea: bring back redlining, and screw the subhuman slime that live in those areas. They embrace Third World barbarism with their 'gansta' culture anyway, so let them turn their neighborhoods into Baghdad. When they want to live like civilized human beings instead of rabid animals, then give them a hand. Until then, f' em.

Well, at least since Carter, who also held many of the same views about our coming ‘doom’.

As a real Patriot, I hate to admit it, but Lizzie's lookin pretty good right now. Unfortunately, the Great lady is in her 80's and I fear what's next may make Obama look normal...

What is going through the mind of Judd Gregg right now? Leaving a safe Senate seat to join this disaster of an administration while angering your political base. I suppose its all about the money. Pannetta did rather well at $700,000 for rubber chicken speeches!

I thought "he" is supposed to be capitalized when speaking of Obama, as in "even He's not rising to the task."

“Democrats know the Republicans are wrong. Little children know they’re wrong. Cats and dogs know they’re wrong. But somehow this week, unbelievably, Obama and the Democrats seem to be losing the spin war”

Earth to liberal. Obamachev has huge majorities so pass the bill you want. What’s the problem. Scared?
