[history]
Sadly, the 3rd Quad-Annual Quadrennial Free Republic Inaugural Ball in DC has been cancelled due to lack of interest. There will be no refunds (seeing as how no tickets were sold - and none offered).
However, now is the time to begin planning a conservative offensive movement.
How many of you would like to attend a two day conference symposium, er "FReepmeet" regarding taking back our country? It's been suggested that if we do this, it should be held in a central location or airline hub like Denver or Dallas so a maximum number of FReepers can attend.
If not us, who? If not now, when?
Please post your ideas to the thread.
That is all.

Eight years ago tonight! I proudly attended the 1st ball with my daughter and many of you!
My daughter said she will never forget the evening and experience and is looking forward to returning in the future to recover DC.
Dubya thank you for thinking beyond the current political poll or lamestream media view and keeping the country safe.
Lastly, it was an honor to shake your hand Mr. Robinson.
Finally, to all that sacrificed everything in defending our nation - In memorial God Bless You!

Dallas! The appropriate choice, it is President Bush’s home town now.
Spring, Fall or Winter, but never in the summertime.

St. Louis sounds great as does Kansas City.
Haven’t talked to Cyber about this, but kind of sort of count us in.
JaJ and Jim, give your wives a big hug for me! It would be great to see them again, too!

Thanks, General! I guess with no ball, we won’t get to see you in your snazzy uniform, though, even in pictures ;-).

fyi, when my much beloved/departed VK was pregnant, she started wearing "tents" at 3 months. (as she was a natural 5/6, she looked like that she had swallowed a bowling ball @4 months.)
CONGRADS on your new arrival, from "ducky" & i!!!!
fyi, i vote for SAN ANTONIO for the FReeper gathering, inasmuch as the Alamo shrine is there & the Tex-Mex & BBQ is wonderful too. (better than Dallas!!!)

I know from experience that it’s a lot harder to fly into SAT than into DFW. Several people up the thread suggested Fort Worth as an alternative to Dallas, and I agree that’s a good idea.
I need to go to the Salvation Army store and look for some bigger tents soon. At least it should be getting warm here in another six weeks or so!

She’d have looked better in my purple maternity dress than she did in that disaster she wore last night.

I would like to see literally thousands of small comando squads set up in each Congressional district. You want to put the underwear industry out of business or something?
