Chief Justice John Roberts has sent a full-throated challenge of Barack Obama’s presidential eligibility to conference: Lightfoot v. Bowen (SCOTUS docket page). I.O. interviewed Lightfoot lead attorney, Orly Taitz at 2:20pm CT, today, minutes after she learned of this move.
Taitz believes, “This is Chief Justice Roberts telling the Congress… the other eight Justices, that there is a problem with this election.”
The Lightfoot case has legal standing, due to litigant, Libertarian Gail Lightfoot’s vice presidential candidacy in California. It also address two major issues of legal merit: 1. Obama’s failure to provide legally evidentiary documentation of citizenship and American birth and, 2. his United Kingdom citizenship at birth, passed to him by his Kenyan father when that nation was a British colony. (Other current challenges also submit that Obama’s apparent status as an Indonesian citizen, as a child, would have caused his American citizenship to be revoked.) This case is therefore considered the strongest yet, to be heard by the Supreme Court. Obama challenger, Philp Berg had previously been granted conference hearings, scheduled this Friday, 1/9 and on 1/16.
Roberts was submitted this case on 12/29, originally a petition for an injunction against the State of California’s Electoral College vote. His action comes one day before the Congress is to certify the Electoral College votes electing Barack Obama, 1/8. The conference called by Roberts is scheduled for 1/23. Orly Taitz is not deterred by the conference coming after the inauguration, which is to be held 1/20, “If they find out that he was not eligible, then they can actually rescind the election; the whole inauguration and certification were not valid.” The strongest time for legal and judicial rulings are generally after the fact.

If that is the case, the only thing Obama will have to do is present his U.S Passport to the Chief Justice. That Passport will would prove that he is a US citizen and it will specify where he was born.
I wonder whether the procedure by which a U.S. senator obtains a passport is different from that followed by ordinary citizens.
I'm not making predictions about him being dragged out of the office.
You have to prove your citizenship to get a US Passport.
And I doubt very seriously that the GOP Controlled Senate would have seated Obama in 2005 If he were not a citizen.
The Supremes are supposed to uphold the constitution. They shouldn’t in good conscience swear him in without proof that he meets all of the requirements. It doesn’t matter. They won’t stop him. None of the justices wants to go down in history as the evil racist S.C. judge who stopped the first black president.

A valid passport still won’t make him a natural born citizen, in any event.
I post on a local message board about development issues in my seaside city. There is an amazing similarity between the operatives on that board and some of whom may be operatives here. The development operatives attack me constantly because I dare to disagree with them. They want the ordinary people to just shut up and let them do what they want. Anyone who disagrees is “against development,” an “extremist,” etc., etc. They do become infuriated when anyone dares to disagree. Sometimes it’s a lot of laughs, once you get used to the abuse! LOL!

I didn't get a passport until I was an adult. And I *did* have to supply a birth certificate to get it.

So what is it with you? Do you think 0bama has demonstrated that he is Constitutionally eligible by even the most inclusive of interpretations (not including possibly Photoshopped electronic images), or does it just not matter to you?

It's probably easier to get a diplomatic passport for Senators than an ordinary citizen can get a tourist passport. Here are the many ways that an ordinary citizen can get a passport. And it sure looks like an easy way for a person, like Obama, to con the system.

I doubt Obama had to showed any proof that he was a natural born citizen to the Senate.
You think he was more than one person? I hadn’t noticed how much he was on as I only noticed when I was here too.
