NEW ORLEANS (AP) - Snow is falling in the New Orleans area.
The National Weather Service says a mixture of sleet and snow is falling Thursday morning from Baton Rouge east across much of southeastern Louisiana.
The winter weather closed some schools and created hazardous driving conditions.

Dont worry. FEMA is on the way with prepaid cards to help New Orleanians get through this crisis. Lobster, leather jacket and plasma TV sales set to go through the roof!

It’s beautiful in Baton Rouge. I’m the only one in my group that made it in to work. They closed I-12 for a while and the schools all closed.
As of 9:30am it’s changed from snow to rain.
Cool day though. Let it snow...

It looks more like the Rove Weather Machine needs some calibration.

That’s too bad.
I was really hoping the “predictions” that PA was going to start feeling like FL in the next 10 years were right...

The snow is about an inch. But it melts on the street. Big fluffy snow flakes. Can’t drive.
All the locals say they can’t stop giggling.
Snow is so beautiful!

This is just the back side of “global warming”.
Things change. Get used to it.
Now it shall turn out that Narlins has no snow removal equipment.
Or they could put snow plows on all the school buses.
Oh, that’s right. They all got drowned a few years ago, and nobody got around to replacing them.

very heavy snow now in NOLA over an inch per hout at times
Here in Metairie, Louisiana it’s been snowing since 8:00 AM. It’s beautiful. I wish I was home to enjoy it but I’m at work instead. Snow is a treat for the kids but we’ve never learned to drive in it. Got to be careful going home.

And from the looks of it, the government doesn’t even care! Send heaters! Send snowmobiles! These people will be inside all day and don’t even have decent 60” plasma TVs to watch! Send $2000 debit cards now!
Damn that Bush!
