SNOWS!!!1!

And from the looks of it, the government doesn’t even care! Send heaters! Send snowmobiles! These people will be inside all day and don’t even have decent 60” plasma TVs to watch! Send $2000 debit cards now!
Damn that Bush!

This winter is going to be very cold and very hard on us in Galveston County. 50% of the homes in my little town were destroyed by Hurricane Ike. I am lucky that I still have a roof over my head, but still without plumping or heating. No help from FEMA and still no insurance money. Lot's of people still living in tents. Really not a fun situation. I don't understand why New Orleans Katrina victims got so much help, but those of us in Texas that got wiped out by Ike get very little help.

It is really sad to watch entire neighborhoods slowly disappear as house after house is bulldozed to the ground. There were 5 homes on my street and now only me and one neighbor are left. Where is FEMA? Where are the insurance companies? I've (at sixty) been doing manual labor almost every day since Ike trying to put things back together. Got my little business up and running in crippled mode. But the house needs more work then I can do alone. Where is FEMA? Where are the insurance companies? A cold hard winter is going to be no fun with no heat.
