Pat Quinn, Lt Governor of Illinois, another Crook County Citizen. I wonder if they have installed wire tapping in his office as he is probably now taking bids on the filling of the Senate seat.

So, to borrow a phrase from Dorothy in Wizard of Oz - is he a 'Good' Fitz or a 'Bad' Fitz?

Is he covering for Obama or gunning for him?

Maybe there’s video coverage of his arrest. Hopefully, a Freeper will post it.

Fitzgerald said in his news conference that they did this early in the morning to avoid a media circus and to avoid waking his children. His wife was awake. The FBI called his home, woke him up and said that they had a warrant for his arrest and there were two FBI agents waiting for him outside and he should go let them in. Blago asked the agent if this was a joke. Once told that this wasn’t, he was arrested without incident.

Now what I want to know is: What happened to his State Police bodyguards? Does the FBI call them ahead of time? Show up and flash badges and tell them to stand down? That’s a lot of guns at 6 AM in Ravenswood...

ENJOY!

Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich peers from behind a coat, at upper right, as he is transported into the Dirksen Federal Building in Chicago, Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2008, after he was arrested on corruption charges.

What happened to his State Police bodyguards?

My guess is that the head of that ISP detail was on the phone at the same time talking to his commandant who had just been briefed by the FBI (woke him up, too, no doubt)

I am a Missourian with lots of relatives living in Illinois. It is a source of great embarrassment to them that they have such corruption in their state. The corruption is and has been endemic for a generation or more and it is in both parties. The republican party of Illinois is controlled by corrupt Rinos and, of course, the democrat party is controlled by the gangsters from Chicago and East St Louis. There appears to be no future for that state. It appears hopeless.

It was his office in Chicago that was being served by a search warrant this morning.
