Rep. calls Obama Marxist, warns of dictatorship

WASHINGTON (Map, News) - A Republican congressman from Georgia is calling President-elect Obama a Marxist and warning that he might be planning to form a Gestapo-like security force so he can rule as a dictator.

Two-term Rep. Paul Broun of Athens cited a July speech that has circulated on the Internet in which Obama called for a civilian force to take some of the national security burden off the military.

The GOP won’t go after him until the attacks can’t be dismissed as “playing the race card”.

In the meantime, they go after broken promises like “post-partisan administration” - but meet chief of staff Rahm Emanuel.

Once he is weakened some, they can go after him, and not just what he does.

Rush and talk radio will have to carry the ball for a while. Every left wing move by Obama will bring an opportunity to refer back to his radical leftist past.

Again...we need to have more conservatives calling Obama out for being part of the "New Party" back in the 90's. This was a Socialist group that backed him when he was in the Illinois Congress. He is a Marxist.

Also, look at what Wright was preaching...the "black gospel". This is a socialist gospel at best.

Not saying it will - all I’m saying it CAN. Very much so. And, more the peaceful, developed society before - more the vicious the fighting would be. Because if you can cross over the ideology threshold where you say ‘it’s ok to go kill the guys next door because of X’ after having lived with them for decades then anything can happen.

It is already being reported that Obama intends to execute a lot of Executive Orders in the first weeks of his Presidency. Rather than wait for Congress to approve his agenda, he is going to rule by fiat.

If Congress wants to banish some of these E.O.s, it will have to attain a two thirds majority to do it. That will be difficult.

So Obama does not plan on giving the Republicans any sign off. He’s not going to risk filibusters on any of it. He’s just going to rule by, “stroke of the pen, law of the land”.

I wouldn’t jump too far ou ton that paranoia limb. A good strong dose of it might be just what the good doctor ordered these days.

Well I agree with you, unlike some here. There is NO sense in being trigger happy at this point. It’s going to be a long four years, and if republicans start officially bad mouthing Obama before they have some mis-actions and mis-speaking from him to back up their accusations, their words will lose impact and become stale rhetoric painted as hate-speech by the left.

I’m in favor of opposing Obama and his agenda, but timing and technique are everything. This from Braun at this extremely early stage, only hurts republicans.
