I've added a link at the top of the latest posts pages to view "Selected Free Republic McCain vs Obama promo videos." We usually only run these kind of promos during our FReepathons, but I thought I'd continue these selected videos until the election is over. We're now receiving nearly 2,000,000 page views per day from 200,000 to 300,000 daily visitors. Half of these visits are from new visitors. I am very afraid...

...and I think there are few who would condemn me for it. These are scary times, everyone can agree on that. But what really frightens me is how few uf us seem to realize just how dangerous a wolrd we are living in. People who believe the lies will tell me I'm an alarmist.

They'll tell me I'm an idiot. These people want to believe, they desperately need to believe the lies. The truth can be staring them in the face, but they'll refuse to see it. They will cling to the lies until the world comes crashing down. I don't hope to reach those people. All I can hope for is that I might be able to mitigate the damage they do with their blind fervor. Don't get me wrong---they're not bad people, by and large, just misguided. They mean well.

That's what really gets to me. They honestly want the best for this country. I hope there is someone, somewhere in this country, who is willing to listen to me. Just that, just listen with an open mind, and look into what I am saying. I hope I can sway the people who sit between the political extemes. I feel as if the future depends on it.

The trouble is this:
somewhere out there, walking freely across American soil, is a man who is nurturing destruction in his heart. A man who hates everything this country stands for, everything that makes it great, especially freedom. This man is a citizen, and he is trying to destroy us.

Why am I the only one who sees this as a terrible betrayal? This man has tried to enlist the thought police to retaliate against people who say things he does not like.

Why am I the only one who finds this frightening? Then we have Joe the Plumber. A man who dared to ask a candidtate a tough question (by now we all know who I'm talking about). A man the media has vowed to destroy because of it.
