Imagine If Obama Loses By One Vote, Liberals Warn Thursday, October 23, 2008 By Susan Jones, Senior Editor
(CNSNews.com) Imagine if Sen. Barack Obama loses the presidential election by one vote, and imagine if you were the person who meant to vote for him but never made it to the polls.
Pretend it just happened. Thats the thrust of a new video from a liberal, pro-Obama group.
As polls show the presidential race tightening in swing states such as Pennsylvania and Florida, MoveOn.org is pressing a get-out-the-vote message with a funny, scary video showing people what it might look like if we lose the election by a single vote.
The video includes the name of the email recipient, making it look like Susan Jones (in my case) was the non-voter who cost Obama the election.
U.S. elections are always close, but the nation was shocked Tuesday night to see John McCain defeat Barack Obama by a single vote, intones a mock anchorman in the MoveOn.org video.
For many, shock soon turned to outrage as The New York Times revealed the identity of the particular non-voter responsible for Obamas loss, the anchorman says, as the non-voters name appears in font on the TV screen.
In just a few short days, this private citizen has become a national pariah, the anchorman says. The video explains that police take the non-voter into protective custody, it shows Obama supporters letting loose with bleeped invective, and it includes soundbites from President Bush and Fox Newss Bill OReilly (favorite targets of the left) thanking the non-voter for being patriotic.

Its pretty crazy out here behind enemy lines.
It will not matter one bit if it is 1,100,1,000 or 1 million. The libtards will still claim it was stolen.
In addition to which, if he lost by one vote, he would have needed two more people to vote for him in order to win, not just one. That would make it a tie.
Plus, if McCain wins, we won’t have that government agency that tracks you and knows how you would have (should have?) voted and puts the noncompliant into “protective” custody...
bttt
This looks like the Tyranny of the Minority to me.
Same tactics the Nazis and Communists used to seize power.
This is so ridiculous. Liberals live in a make-believe world. It’s no wonder cinema, TV and news media is so overwhelmingly populated by liberals.
0bama already has “volunteer brownshirts” out there, and he’s said nothing to tell them to curb their activities.
Also, anyone else find it curious that 0bama opposes the Castle Doctrine? It makes his “volunteers” nervous to know they might meet armed resistance.
Not only do they show fake news coverage of what will happen if Obama loses, the video has newscasters using my name, saying, "If Karen Jones would have voted for Obama this would not be happening." Then they cut to man on the street interviews with confusion and panic in the background, interviewing people who say, "I am so mad at Karen Jones. She is a @#$%&!"
The Reichstag is burning and the peasants are banging on the gates.......
Yes they are very afraid that a majority of voters will not vote for a socialist, defeatist, and left wing liberal who stayed for 20 years in the Church of a hateful, racist, and anti-American Reverend called Jeremiah Wright.
Then I would imagine it was a good thing I went and voted for McCain.
“...I suspect that the last page of the Obama playbook is going to look a lot like the last page of the Odinga playbook, if it comes to that...”
So long as they burn down their own neighborhoods, I don’t see a problem. It’s kind of like spontaneous urban renewal. However, if they choose to come to my neighborhood with that foolishness then they will have a big problem. I would strongly suggest that they have their final affairs in order before coming.
I’ll take it.
But I’d prefer by 1,000,000,000.
Should WE Conservatives and Republicans, and others who put COUNTRY FIRST, and who are civilized, and are normally too busy working and raising our families to engage in such activities, RIOT then?
Maybe we should.
I am trying to post a link but it is goofy when I attempt to copy and paste.Watch it: http://www.moveon.org/r?r=31274&nid=UkbVJkQfUcDjj.f5hdlVMTg1NDcw&id=14592-9732686-05ab_gx&t=3
I lived through the riots in LA after Rodney King so I imagine I’ll live through them here in my sleepy suburban Kansas city.

“The video explains that police take the non-voter into protective custody, it shows Obama supporters letting loose with bleeped invective”
Wow! The Obama thuggocracy revealed! Is this an implied threat of violence? If someone tells me “Well, you can walk down the sidewalk in front of my house, but I can’t promise to be able to restrain myself from punching you in the nose”
isn’t that assault?
What’s revealing is the narcissism and immaturity implicit in this entire line of reasoning. Were the imagined hypothetical to transpire, it would imply that roughly equivalent numbers of voters had voted for McCain and Obama, but that because the “other guy” won, the barely outnumbered (and apparently very petulant) losers feel entitled to vent their rage on a hapless citizen who did nothing more than exercise their freedom as an American not to vote if that’s the way they feel. We can infer from this that American liberties will be in jeopardy unless we vote the “correct” way.
Of course, the imagined hypothetical CANNOT transpire as depicted. Even if the electoral-vote-deciding state was lost be 1 vote, there would never be a single identifiable non-voter responsible for this outcome. Unless every single eligible adult in that state is registered and every single one of them (save one) cast a vote, there would always be hundreds of thousands or millions of “non-voters” to blame for Obama’s loss. Thus, the only people who could be swayed by such an ad would have to be incredibly stupid or ridiculously paranoid. I guess we can infer that the Democrats have enough such individuals within their ranks to merit this mindless approach to voter motivation.
Did the Democrats not learn anything from SoreLoserman? Whatever happened to the idea of being gracious in defeat, shaking the hand of the opponent who beat you and wishing them good luck?
