CBS News is reporting that Barack Obama denied there was a connection between his meeting with his campaign’s national security experts and Joe Biden’s comments that Obama would be “tested” in the first six months of his administration
When a reporter pressed Obama on his running mate's comments, Obama admitted that Biden may (?) have misspoken. “You know I think that Joe sometimes engages in rhetorical flourishes,” Obama said. “But I think that his core point was that the next administration is going to be tested regardless of who it is.” The definition of rhetorical is: "concerned with effect or style of speaking; a rhetorical question is one asked solely to produce an effect.” The definition of flourishes is: "an ornamental embellishment." The follow up question is: what does “rhetorical flourishes” mean? And not once did Biden say that whoever headed the next administration would be tested. Biden specifically and passionately said Obama would be tested.

I mean, it’s bad enough that Biden’s esteemed foreign policy record is laughable, yet frightening when you consider this is who would be mentoring young Barack through his first term. But now it’s clear that Biden isn’t all there.

How much more CLEAR could Biden have been. He is saying that Obama will be tested — not McCain if he is elected. He said Obama will be tested, mark HIS words. “Gird your loins,” Biden told the crowd.
Our Country is going to be tested, to see if Obama has the mettle.
