Dr. Deal Hudson of "Inside Catholic" reports that Dr. Nicholas P. Cafardi, noted legal scholar, former Dean of Duquesne University Law School and now prominent Catholic supporter of the candidacy of Senator Barack Obama has just resigned from his position as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Franciscan University of Steubenville.
Deal reports that the President of the University, Fr. Terrence Henry, TOR,received a letter of resignation from the former Dean on Monday, October 6, 2008. Cafardi was once hailed, along with fellow legal scholar Doug Kmiec, as a leading Pro-Life voice among Catholic academics.

Yippee! “Catholics” for a Free “Choice” can put him on their board.
Maybe he can hang out with "Rev" Jeremiah Wright.
It sounds like the boy let Obamamania override his brain.
Good riddance. Isn’t he the one who just wrote a piece about why Catholics should be pro aborion and in favor of Obama?
I knew Cafardi when he was an assistant Dean at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. He was the Diocese of Pittsburgh’s foremost canon lawyer and, other than the occasional bout with narcolepsy, seemed a reasonable guy. I find support for Obama not in character. The academic seems to have overcome the canon lawyer in him.
“Despite what some Republicans would like Catholics to believe, the list of what the church calls “intrinsically evil acts” does not begin and end with abortion”
Cafardi
NO Catholic should support or vote for a Pro-ABORTION candidate!! Obama was a RABID PRO-ABORTION SUPPORTER!! Geesh Catholics...you are dancing on the trapdoor of hell if you support these EVILS.
Hey Doug Kmiec....you should be NEXT!!!
From what I know of the good, conservative Catholic ways at Franciscan, it would not surprise me if he hadn’t been asked for his resignation. It is one of the genuine Catholic schools still left.
That may be true, but only one political candidate is actively promoting an intrinsically evil act. And that’s Barry Obama.
He's a relative of mine, and I have (had) the same opinion of him. In fact, he was one of the leading canon lawyers responsible for the new code of canon law. My wife and I were shocked when we heard about his support for Obama. It does seem out of character. I was wondering what Franciscan's reaction was going to be.
Right.
It also includes human cloning, killing old folks, embryonic stem cell research, and institutionalized faggotry.
Barry Hussein is all in favour of those, too.
There was a column by Doug Kmiec in our Diocesan newspaper this week, promoting education vouchers. Does he have any idea what Osama’s position on school choice is? Or does he just not give a whoop, because it’s really about the Marxism?
It may not begin and end with abortion ALONE, but it sure as heck INCLUDES it! At least this guy was smart enough to resign his position... Now, if only Pfleger would do the same with his priesthood!
I do feel somewhat sorry for this man, well for his SOUL. It truly does point to the fact that even good religious people with a firm understanding of right and wrong can be led astray. I hope he realizes what he has done to himself before he passes on in allowing the propaganda to overshadow his religious beliefs...
Now, I don’t believe Obama is THE anti-Christ - however, that men like this are falling for the HYPE of Obama CLEARLY serves as a warning to ALL believers for what will happen when THE anti-Christ DOES make an appearance in our world...
Doug is not very smart, or he is a LIAR!
I bet this is a simple matter of attorneys sticking behind the Democratic candidate even at the cost of his soul. At least he has resigned.
