Say what?

There was only one Reagan.

JFK was a liberal.

Nuff said.

Above is a very sarcastic post. From one dumb poster.

jveritas has been around awhile, and has done some pretty good work for the forum and for the public. He is calling out everyone who has climbed a horse to look down at the rest of us.

I have found that those who view others down their nose tend to have the most skeletons buried away. Again; Judge not, lest ye be judged..

John McCain is also pro-life.

Rush pointed out he was also for embryo cell research. So much for being pro-life. Rush pointed pout McCain's hypocrisy.

"Sad when the children of the VP nominee on the Republican side gets more scrutiny than the Presidential nominee of the Democrat party."

By now the MSM have gotten their hands on the Palin children's Kindergarten scribbles, Elementary School report cards, and their High School Prom dates.

Shouldn’t the article be titled Palin “Explains”
Palin “Admits” sounds as if this was well hidden.
As I understand it it was pretty much an open
secret in their hometown. Simple discretion.

If only Solomon were guided by the Saints of the Free Republic, perhaps Israel's history would have been quite different. It is their duty to write a new book of Proverbs, for verily did Solomon fall short of their great wisdom. [One of Solomon's kids would have made Britney look like a saint.]

I am not sure that its the Christians that are getting upset - several of the conservative christian posters have been her strongest defenders today. Mainly the poeple getting mad are those who didn’t like Palin in the first place. There are also a few posters who seem to be on a twisted contraception crusade.

Self-righteousness is nothing but froth used to cover up a hidden life of lies.

Would you please stop with the "mistake" terminology? Bristol and her boyfriend, Levi, made a baby. But a BABY is NOT a MISTAKE. A baby is a baby. A baby is a gift from God, no matter what the circumstances of the baby's conception.

Did you stop to think that with God in control, He could have made Bristol sterile? He could have had her miscarry. But He has a bigger plan. He didn't want her to undergo the trauma of sterility or miscarriage. Because God has a plan for this baby.

THINK and I'm repeating myself. Look on this pregnancy as God providing Trig with a playmate, with a niece or nephew who will grow up with him and who may end up being Trig's future caretaker. It's obvious that Bristol and Trig have developed a bond already. And that bond extends to the unborn who senses Trig when Bristol is holding him. There is a God Given Reason for Everything. Sometimes we know the reason. Most of the time we don't. I think that Bristol's Baby is Heaven Sent, just for Trig.

And if I'm wrong, which I rarely am, but just in case I am this time, it doesn't matter because God is in Control and He Has A Reason For Bristol's and Levi's Baby. Maybe it's to show up hypocrites on FR. Maybe it's to let BHObama pontificate (or is that caliphate) and give the Republicans some useful sound bytes.

This event in Bristol's life really shows us where everyone's heart is. Read the posts and you can discern where FR people stand on the issues of unwed (as of now) mothers, unwed fathers, Life, Death, shaming unwed pregnant couples, hypocrisy, controlling others, projecting their values on others, assuming the worst case scenarios, etc, etc, ad vomitum. It nearly makes my heart sick.

Forget the Election for a moment. This is not your daughter who's pregnant out of wedlock. This is your new friend's daughter. How you react to this situation is very important for you and for your new friend. Do you cast her aside because her daughter put the marriage bed before the wedding? Or do you, even while you personally disapprove of "bed before wed" offer your friend your support and comfort because friendships are important and you know that a parent, no matter how wonderful she is, is not responsible for her daughter's actions and behaviors? Is the friendship worth the cost to you? Are you willing to give your unasked forgiveness to the daughter and not allow the daughter's behavior to destroy a friendship with her mother?

I can only answer that for me. And I've already written to Gov. Palin and offered her my support and friendship. I think that Sen. McCain did an admirable thing when he disallowed a child's behavior to destroy his faith and trust in that child's mother. McCain's actions strengthen his position as a Maverick and as a non-judgmental leader.

McCain and Palin in 2008. And Palin in 2012.

And would those of you who are trying to second guess Sen. McCain and Gov. Palin please quit it? It makes you appear petty. Puny and petty. Like the photo of Obama on the bicycle with the nearly flat rear tire.

LOL, excellent one :) Although they need to find a way to omit this part of the Gospel of John chapter 8 where our Lord told the crowd who wanted to stone the adulteress “He who is without sin among you, let him be the first to throw a stone at her.”

I think all but about 3 to 6 posters agree with you completely. The problem is that those same 3 to 6 posters have been posting repeatedly throughout this thread.

We shouldn’t be ignoring or celebrating unwed teen pregnancy. Which seems to be what most posters on this thread have embraced

I would like to see Palin run as President instead of McCain in all honesty.

That being said I can't believe all the freepers giving this out of wedlock preganancy a pass. (Oh it's nothing, it's today environment, better than abortion etc etc).

Jeesh folkes what has happened to our countries morals when conservatives are giving a pass just because the candidate is Republican?

Don't give me the crap this has always happened. Yes it has. But I also read my newspaper every week with the birth announcements and in many cases 60-75% are out of wedlock. That was not how it was when I was growing up in the 50's and 60's.

Sad to say if this was a democrat candidate many of the same freepers who are saying it's no big deal would be getting out the torches to burn the candidate. This is the real shame, being partisan over this issue.

Yes having the baby is better than abortion but it should not have happened in the first place.

Palin/McCain 2008

I wasn’t speaking of all Christians. Just some of the over the top ones. But, I have noticed that too. A lot of let’s pull Palin and run Romney. I would have to throw up over that one.
