I hope this works. It’s going to take a lot to change the minds of the idiot Dems. Remember, the whacked out-socialist, enviromentilist groups are lining their pockets so they’re afraid that if they vote for offshore drilling they might not get their money from these groups anymore.

Shortly it will be two million, and before the end of the summer, I bet it will be ten million.

As well it should be.

But Obama thinks it okay for Americans to suffer this, and and any number of other calamaties.

One million shills of the big oil companies and their profits. They are not to be listened to. We in Congress answer to the birds, the trees, and the bugs! Now be off with you.

Liberalism believes only in things that don't make any sense. To support things that do make sense means that you're not "objective."

This is the line of reasoning that makes them so certain they are "smart."

This is a great plan and I appreciate Newt for doing it - but I think it’s going to take more than this. I think that folks like us - everyday Americans - are going to need to *talk* to their neighbors, family and friends - to really communicate and educate others about this issue. I really think it’s going to take us reaching out (in a respectful way) beyond our normal comfort zone to help others understand why we have such high gas prices and what can be done to lower them.

We signed the petition, but then I heard that on-line petetions do not have any “pull” when presented to Congress. Did I hear right? Anyone?

How much more of this BS are we going to take? We vote and elect politicians to represent us and then they go and represent their own private views. We should vote every SOB out of Congress.

I signed, but in the end it won’t really matter. I still remember Frist saying... “It’s the will of the Senate” regarding shamnesty for illegal aliens. Doesn’t take a rhode scholar to figure out that the common man is quickly becoming extinct in today’s political world. What ever happened to “Will of the People”?

"We, [the] citizens of the United States . . . .

The Rat Party (formerly the traditional, patriotic Democratic Party) made the Wright decision. No, no, no. God damn America! No drilling, no shale, no nuke power.

Next step: Obamanation. ""We can't drive our SUVs and eat as much as we want and keep our homes on 72 degrees at all times ... and then just expect that other countries are going to say OK."

The new America and our day-to-day needs. "We, the citizens of the United States, appeal to the World. Please, Sir, we want some more."

"Ummm.. change." Homer Simpson.

Hate to say it, but online petitions aren’t generally taken seriously by anyone that matters.

Now if 1/3 of those who signed the petition also wrote, faxed AND called their congressman and Senators, you might see some action.

America already has an answer from Congress; “The Oil companies already own 65 million acres of land to drill on, yet they have failed to do so. WE will not give them any more when they will not drill on the land they already have been given.”

Of course this is land that has been surveyed and contains either no oil, or not enough to waste the time and money to drill.

But the Ignorant public believes what ever rhetoric the Democrats spew out at the press.

So, don’t expect any action until after the election when it will suddenly become a bright new idea that the Democrats just thought of. And they will get full credit for it of course. WE shall see.........

My husband and I signed it when it first started, and everyone of my regulars at my blog signed it.
I am glad to see the update on how many have signed so far. Thank you.

Since the Congress has an approval rating of 12% I dare say we shouldn’t expect much from these idiots.
