Tim Russert, NBC journalist and political heavyweight host of "Meet the Press," has died after collapsing at NBC's Washington news bureau, a source said. He was 58 years old.
Couple things I remember about him: the 2000 election with his marker and whiteboard.....and asking Hillary about illegals....didn’t the dems hammer him for that. Dems are vile...
Russert genes run strong. They look very much alike.
His Dad is still alive, right?
Prayers.
Interestingly, Frank Reynolds, another admired news anchor, was 59 when he died in 1983.
If your a liberal, your a socialist, thus a communist. They are socialism. Union of SOCIALIST Soviet Republics. Thus socialists. Thus communists in my book.
The Hillary supporters sure did. The Obamaniacs thought it was great.
Also, I think Tim LIED in the Libby trial.
I’m amazed at my emotional reaction to this news compared to my reaction to the Kennedy illness. Though I felt compassion for Kennedy at the news, it was not deeply felt, more of a compassion most have for a fellow human who has a serious illness. I don’t have respect for the man as I believe he doesn’t have the best interests of our country at heart and has disrespected his vows to his wife and his church.
My reaction to Russert’s passing is much more emotional; I agree with many on here that he was a patriotic American who loved his country and his family. Two liberal Democrats, two completely different reactions.
Hillary’s revenge?
“Im not overweight and in better shape than Tim Russert. But his death is a shock and I am vowing to get more exercise, eat more solidly and cut out the junk food (Which is not that much anyway)”
A friend of my sister just died of a sudden heart attack last week at the age of 48. I had my first heart scan a month ago and am so glad I did. All is great but I know I can cut the lawn, exercise (yuck) and shovel snow with no worries.
Agree with everyone that he was a decent guy who did a good job of reporting. If you haven’t read Big Russ and Me, it’s worth your time.
So I guess I'm off your Christmas list?
Yes, his dad is still alive.
To Russert...
Sure I picked on ya like us Catholics do, but it was an honor to see you at Mass in NYC once in a blue moon. I will continue to torture you while in heaven. Kidding. Prayers for your soul, the family, those you worked with and the many organizations and children’s causes you worked on through the years. You were at heart a gem (even though you killed me on tv), we’ll just keep you starting to see the light quiet for now. I never gave up on your conversion.
Godspeed Tim... put in a word for your contempararies with the big guy.

Annie, I love your “institutional memory” — thanks for this other important reminder...
Ho hum. Ain’t you funny.
I was just telling my husband that the last couple of times I saw Russert I didn't think he looked well.
“Russert was a good family man and will be missed.”
You are right.
