I thought the time was right to start up a live thread for results and comments about tonight, so here we are!
Hmmm Huck has lost 4% but the otrhers didnt get the votes I wonder if Hunter got them how much does Hunter have??
We just got back from our precinct caucus in Scott County:
Total of 64 votes cast
Romney 18
McCain 13
Huck 12
Fred 11
Ron Paul 8
Guiliani 2
High turnout.
Exactly! How many of us have ever paid attention as to what happened in the Iowa Cauci? The answer is not many. Other than remembering the "Dean" scream in '04. And, that gave us a good chuckle.
Is Bill Clinton still babysitting the babysitters or has he joined back with Hillary tonight?
My guess would be 10%.
I agree! True insanity... What is in the corn in Iowa???
While others spent $200 per Iowan voter, Hunter gets on the slate by spending 10 cents a voter!
I'll take more of what Hunters got!
Someone here just said he is "picking up steam."
Reagan lost to Bush 41 in '80;
Jimmy Carter lost to 'Undecided' (LMAO) in '76;
Bill Clinton came in a distant fourth in '92;
And,
Bush 41 lost to Bob Dole in '88.
.003% of the population does not a winner make, except in the fertile minds of the media rah-rahs on both sides of the political fence.
RESULTS:
Obama 35.96; Edwards 30.60; Clinton 30.41
Huckabee 31; Romney 23; Thompson 13; McCain 12
From Drudge.
Can't recall the name of the Iowa guru who forecasts the pulse in his state (David??) but he said the third place finish for Hillary signifies that her base is totally turned off and she will have a tough road ahead. Huge loss!
“IOWA ALSO TELLS HUCK, 70% DONT WANT YOU!!!!!!!!”
Desperate
Butler County
75% precints reporting
Huckabee 37%
Thompson 25%
Romeny 16%
I posited on many posts that he was actually helping the man. Boy, did I take heat....on the board and via private mail.
I was 100% correct and will be very interested to see Rush get out of this one tomorrow. He was in a position to subtly help Fred in the last 48 hours since he wouldn't overtly help him, but he barely mentioned Fred's name except in casual passing in the last two days of his show.
You win by praising the conservative candidate and touting his record, not by slamming his opponent for hours on end. I was a political candidate many times (won 'em all) and learned that every knock is a boost.
Well, it's water over the dam now, and I'm moving on.
I'm still hoping that Fred can pull into 2nd tonight.

I agree with your analysis of the Hucksters. They do not understand the Constitution. It is more than the Bill of Rights. It also codifies the various rolls of the three branches of government. Huck is running for the Senate.
“***************HUCKABEE/MCCAIN 2008*********************”
Can you say ...vote Libertarian in 2008?
Can you say President “Democrat” then? You’ll need to be able to.
I’m not a McCain supporter. I’m only observing that he’s performing relatively well for someone who didn’t campaign much in Iowa.
If I was Billy Bob Boy, I wouldn’t let her near the family jewels for a while...
Thompson and McCain have both done well tonight. Put both those numbers together and you can win.
