That begs the question, if Fred pulled out the nomination because of heavy support from the Southern states, would Northern Republicans refuse to vote for him?

It is official; Intrade now confirms: Fred’s campaign is dying

Intrade doesn't vote in either Republican primaries or General elections.

Don’t put too much emphasis on that poll. Remember that some people didn’t even campaign up there. N.H. may have changed, but don’t let it get to you. I’m from California and it’s completely upside down to what it was in the 70s and early 80s. It hurts.

I don’t think we’ll face that outcome because I can’t see how Fred gets the nomination. Not making a flat prediction, just saying I don’t see how it happens. But if it did happen, I can imagine quite a few northern “Republicans” just not being bothered to support Fred.

That tallys up to 79%. Who gets the other 21%? That is quite a bunch of votes to scrape off the stack.

My only thought is that there are some folks who don’t show up on there, and there are also probably some undecideds.

*****They may be polling a lot of Ron Paul moonbats posing as Libertarians or Conservative Republicans, but those negatives should show up against all candidates, not just Fred Thompson.******

Hey, Ron Paul doesn’t have that many supporters. They are just a few people living in the basement spamming polls.

“The only thing worse than people talking about you is people not talking about you.”

I am happy that Ron Paul is one of the top 5 people mentioned in the poll, even if his numbers look bad

****And 80% of FReepers would not live in New Hampshire.****

Maybe not now, but when I first came to this forum in the later 90’s, I think the numbers would be a lot different. “Live free or die” would have had great appeal to Freepers back then.

Neither do I. But Rudy, McCain is. And that’s the MSM choice and the GOP hierarchy.

A lot of it is the fact that Fergus Cullen (state GOP head) is bad-mouthing Fred at every opportunity. It seems Mr. Cullen's panties got in a wad when Fred didn't declare until the day AFTER the UNH debate, and Fergus, ever the RINO, never forgot that.

Frankly, this state is RINO anyway. I'd be amazed if Guiliani and Romney didn't come in 1-2.

It still does to some here. Just not to the NJ/NY/VT socialists flooding in here.

Oh good grief! Most people who have cancer are surviving these days, for many more years. Do you honestly suppose that if Fred's doctor's had told him he was in danger of dying in the next four years from his cancer that he'd be out on the campaign trail? Not ruddy likely.

Both McCain and Giuliani have been diagnosed with cancer in the last few years, and both are going strong. Imagine the irony if you refused to vote for anyone with cancer, then the person you DID vote for, got hit by a bus three weeks later. We never know when our time is going to come.
