The Surge Is Working - Huckabee's Too (Chuck Norris On MSM Confounded Alert)
Worldnetdaily.com ^ | 10/29/2007 | Chuck Norris

Posted on 10/29/2007 2:59:20 AM PDT by goldstategop

The Huckabee surge is swelling. And why? Because, despite most of the media favoritism in air time and attention of more liberal candidates, Americans are privy to the ploys of preferred political posturing – not allowing their own oversight of the second tier of candidates. America is catching on to the reality that Mike is a well-rounded, real American patriot, who understands the plight of average citizens and has the experience and vision to lead America into the future.

Speaking of surges, one of the questions that arises when I speak about Huckabee is, "Why does Mike take a tough and (with many) unpopular stand on staying the course with the Iraqi war?"

The first reason is Mike understands the real threat of terrorism. Sept. 11 wasn't just a bad dream – it was a nightmare reality. (We both think too many Americans have forgotten that.) Islamofascism is still a very real threat. And our war with it will not end in a draw. Extremists don't negotiate. They only want to annihilate. We will fight them overseas, or we will fight them on our streets.

I would vote for McCain first.

I also didn't care for those remarks about "if someone is looking for the mean guy in this group of candidates, I'm not your guy." Exactly who does he think is "mean"?

No thanks. We've had enough triangulation out of Arkansas.

Chuck and Mike are worthy of our respect around here, even if we disagree on some issues. If Mike is surging, more power to him. But I think what we are seeing is a re-alignment of the Sam Brownback supporters. I have had enough of conservatives eating their own. Some people around here believe that I am being too hard on Fred Thompson. Fred Thompson is a fine man, but a poor candidate to advance our agenda in the general election. Mike would do a better job of it than Fred, all things considered.

If Mike is surging, more power to him. But I think what we are seeing is a re-alignment of the Sam Brownback supporters.

I don't hate him. But I listed why I'm dubious of him as a conservative candidate. He's just not very conservative. He is a candidate of the Religious Right with very little broad appeal. And I think you nailed it by saying he had scooped up Brownback's supporters. Even if Switchback endorses Giuliani, few of his voters will follow him. With Duncan and Tancredo taking matching funds, they can stay in the race so it's unlikely their voters with switch to Huckabee.

That remark about not being the mean guy really torqued me. That was after Bush insulted us because we wouldn't tolerate his shamnesty and Rudy's insults to the "Know-Nothing wing" of the party which I really despised.

I disagree about Fred. I think he is a better candidate but haven't yet decided who I'll end up voting for in my late primary. Probably, it won't matter because it'll all be over long before I get to vote.

Post 3 is a national security issue. It should not be a political issue. If Huckabee has a problem with that, then he should not have been in the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation grant system.

If Chuck Norris wants to sell his credibility to support a grant recipient of the RJW Foundation grant system, well, he put his military oath below his price.

Post 3 is a risk to all our lives.

The monies for illegal aliens is coming from grant monies funded through Robert Wood Johnson.  The program vehicle used to fund illegal aliens is granted through:

The Praxis Project

(snip)
National Coordinating Committee for the US Social Forum; social justice leaders from across the US who work on issues including environmental justice, poverty, racial justice, immigration, and workers’ rights.
blah blah blah
The World Social Forum (WSF) model is spreading around the world and a wide range of grassroots organizations and networks have announced the location of the first U.S. Social Forum (USSF)
(snip)
blah, blah.....“For us immigrants, the growth of our new communities here have been met not only with repressive policies, racist backlash, abuse and exploitation in the workplace, and scapegoating for socio-economic problems suffered by working class communities, we now also have to face state policies that ask to further extract from our already burdened communities. For instance, Georgia SB 529 seeks to suck up immigrant’s hard-earned income by taxing our remittance wire transfers to our families back home. We are displaced by US economic policies, harassed and kept in a state of constant fear to ensure a cheap and disposable labor supply for US corporations. Immigrant communities in GA and around the country challenge all these, and we say “No Taxation Without Representation.” -Colin Rajah (National Network for Immigrant and Refugee Rights, Chair Program Working Group)
blah blah...“The political moment in the United States brings four important intersections: the war in Iraq, Indigenous Artic drilling, Katrina survivors and US-Mexico border & immigration issues. In fact, all four issues are under the Department of Defense and Homeland Security.” - Ruben Solis (Southwest Workers Union, Southwest Regional Representative)

All things considered, no. I can’t believe the gall of these RINOs who lay to waste their party’s fortunes and think they deserve a PROMOTION ! Fred didn’t leave wreckage wherever he went. Huckster retrograded the AR GOP in stark contrast to nearly every other Southern state.

Chuck Norris is either stupid, which I doubt, or he is compromised.

He wants a candidate that is strongly conservative on social issues and Huckabee is it.

This whole mess if the fault of the Republican party for not putting forth a candidate that is strongly conservative across the board that can unity and fire up the base.

"He's a Freeper"

He's a FReeper who won't come out of the shadows.

He should reveal himself, and offer a question and answer Thread. But he won't, cuz he'd be toast if he did.

He came out a couple of times. He exposed his nic on, I *think* two different threads I’ve seen to date. I can’t find them. I didn’t bookmark them either because I don’t follow much of Huckabee. He just happened to be involved with a topic I do follow, Healthy People 2010.

I think it's the Values Voter crowd. Chucklebee has hired 260 bloggers to blog for him

I'm only a red belt in TKD so I certainly can't beat Chuck Norris there. But in the martial art of Hu Flung Poo, I am a Grand Master. I'll kick all of his bloggers butts like Chuck did in the movies.

Much to the surrender Monkeys discontent, their politics will backfire on them.

That will be long lasting. Huckabee's "surge" is a synthetic liberal MSM lie, designed to pull votes away from Fred and Duncan Hunter. Making Rudy the nominee and open border, smoker banner Huckabee the VP nominee.

David Brooks from the New York Times wrote a column last week saying that Huckabee may be the GOP's best '08 bet. A couple of reasons:
