French doctors are amazed that a 44-year-old civil servant with an abnormally small brain has led a normal life with a slightly lower than normal IQ........
Doctors said the father of two went to the Hopital de la Timone in Marseille with mild weakness in his left leg. He was given a CT scan and an MRI, which showed that his cerebral cavities or ventricles had massively expanded..........
"The brain itself, meaning the grey matter and white matter, was completely crushed against the sides of the skull," ....... "The images were most unusual... the brain was virtually absent."

Insert name of Democrat of choice. Ha! As soon as I saw the headline on this article, I figured it would take less than ten posts before the "D" word showed up!

The condition ... is a genetically sporadic disorder that occurs ... mostly in females. We knew that.

Yes, people were SO sure that they could tell Schiavo's personhood by looking at the size of her brain. They were being scientific doing this. I do respect science, but there really is a lot of hubris in it.
If you look back, there's a trail of errors: Alchemy, Miasma theory, Mesmer, Phrenology, Eugenics, etc. Now, really that's what makes science what it is. They get things wrong, they learn more, they make corrections, they move ahead. I wouldn't want it any other way!
However, if one were to hint that maybe the oh-so-wise scientist is wrong about something, they often get huffy and do the old: "Do you know who you're talking to??" bit.
There is, in fact, a lot left to learn. And some of what we know, well it just ain't so.

Well, according to popular thought we don't use even 10% of the brain we have at present.
I would imagine that a person with a much smaller brain might learn to use more of it.
I wuld think they might want to study this guy to see if there was a way to use more of the normal size brain.

Now if most civil servants could just find a way to rise to his level, they wouldn’t need their socialist unions.

Great pictures, but they won’t matter a whit to teh “compassionate” crowd. They hve no respect for life and don’t care about people, so why should somethign as trivial as evidence change their views?

Funny - the very same affliction can be found en masse on Capitol Hill.
