What's With Laura Ingraham?
July 13. 2007 | Polish Proud

What's with Laura Ingraham? This morning Peggy Noonan wrote an op ed which included the following criticism of President Bush:

"Every major domestic initiative of his second term has been ill thought through and ended in failure. His Iraq leadership has failed. His standing is lower than any previous president's since polling began.",

Laura loved Noonan's op ed. Go gal, kick him when he's down.

Ingraham is taking herself too seriously. Yesterday she was aghast over security chief Chertoff's "gut feeling." I don't know why. I would appreciate any source regarding security even Chertoff's gut. She also found Chertoff less than handsome. What a cheap shot.

Ingraham lost me when she went over to the dark side on the Foley scandal. She thought Hastert should have resigned for not protecting male pages from gay congressmen.

Bill Kristol, yesterday on her show, suggested that now is the time that talk show hosts should support the president. His comment went right over her head.

Noonan’s wrong.

Bush’s leadership on the war has been fine. It’s been every other thing he’s done that has angered conservatives and the Republican base, whether it’s cozying up with Ted Kennedy or offering amnesty to illegals or failing to veto a single budget filled with pork.

Just taking a wild stab at it. Noonan’s comments happen to be true. Ingraham has the clarity to recognize it. That’s all.

Where we should support the Pres is on him defending the need to not pull the troops out.

That time is long over.

This administration exposed its "war on terror" nonsense as a complete fraud the moment it began pushing for normalization of 12-20 million foreign invaders and free and unfettered access across our borders while at the same time sending U.S. troops halfway around the world to establish and prop up a dysfunctional Islamic government.

You can only carry the water so long

Maybe so, but you also shouldn't throw out the baby with the bathwater.

“Repubs need to figure out an exit strategy in Iraq.”

One more thing needs to be done before calling it quits in Iraq - unshackle the military and let THEM fight the war as THEY see fit and not as the commander in chief sees it. Our heroes in the field have no time to play political games. Rule one: anyone in civilian clothes firing at military personnel in uniform is dead meat.

Okay, you get the same question Harry Reid got. What happens to the Iraqi people when we leave?

“And always blasting people’s looks. How about that nasal voice of hers?”

Blasting people’s looks... blasting people’s voices... what’s the diff?

You mean Bill “Illegal immigration hasn’t hurt me - so I its OK” Kristol?

Or do you mean Bill “let them eat cake” Kristol?

Or do you mean Bill “anyone who’s against open borders is a bigot and a racist” Kristol?

I do agree with one thing you said here too-

I , myself, am SICK & TIRED of it being the TALK SHOW HOSTS being " Egocentric " when it comes to THEIR OWN --BABY-LIKE antics of " Who was FIRST to ' Be fair minded and not a robot ' and BASH BUSH!

It's like EVERYDAY they take turns telling their audience " What a GREAT! Independent THINKER "I" am and HAVE always BEEN!!--Lookie!! See?!-I am Bashing the President!..."

Who CARES!!!

"Radio" Time is VERY , VERY Short & Important! As you are ALWAYS being told by these 19 year old interns with NO Experience Themselves into what is even going on around the BLOCK! let alone the WORLD!! Hahaha!

"Less Time" Proving how " Fair & Balanced" you are would mean MORE TIME Reporting MORE news Items!

Good Point.

P.S. And PLEASE! Someone at WABC tell SEAN HANNITY That, " If I hear ,ONE MORE TIME !,about YOU bringing up singing " the Devil went down to Georgia " I will call up your show & throw up live on the air to make you stop"! NO-ONE CARES Anymore Sean! Sing-DON'T Sing- STOP being "YOU" as the one to bring it up! HIRE someone or hire a College-, "Radio Personality-wanna-be-intern" to bring it up for you! You are Wasting RADIO AIR TIME mentioning it 5 times in your show!

Peggy’s column today was, as usual, right on the money and Laura’s a pretty sharp woman. Pointing out the manifest flaws of the president isn’t a bad thing, if it’s meant constructively and has some level of insight, which Noonan’s points almost always do.

Bush tried to engineer a political initiative, the amnesty bill, that would have destroyed the culture, territorial integrity, infrastructure, economy, and Constitution of the United States. Further, he, together with the Republicans in Congress, made a mockery out of fiscal conservatism.

Now, I support the war, I applaud the tax cut, and (so far) I’m thankful for his appointments to the Supreme Court. Even with these achievements, Bush should thank Jimmy Carter for keeping him from being America’s worst president.

He’s finished. Repubs need to figure out an exit strategy in Iraq.

And we're figuring out your exit strategy as we speak.

"Boy, maybe she will be so ticked off she’ll join Air America."

She never cuddled up to Ted the Swimmer. Bush has. She never call the Minuteman "vigilantes." Bush has. She has never stabbed conservatives in the back to make allies of the Liberals. Bush has.

I've now reached the point where I can say that there is a greater likelihood that Bush Bush would join Air America... just to show us bigots how "compassionate" he really is.

It would not have broken my heart if Hastert has stepped down in the wake of the Foley pre arranged scandal

Hastert...heh. My fave is that pic of him standing proud and stalwart with Senator Jefferson, D-LA. Talk about being politically deaf. I don't care what Hastert felt was the greater good of protecting the Reps privacy or whatever, he could have written a Wall Street Journal op-ed or something. It was like he spit in our collective faces out here.

As for Ingrahm, I really like Laura but she's got her weak spots. She doesn't like fat people and Lord don't be a smoker. She can't even begin to approach mighty Rush in a monologue but she plays great music and has the best interviews in all of talk radio.

But I like her...she's my fave woman conservative. Hey, and Peggy Noonan too.....I like her.

I say let Peggy, Laura and Me form a committee to rule the world and almost overnight there would be peace and world wide posterity.

“Okay, you get the same question Harry Reid got. What happens to the Iraqi people when we leave?”

Sorry, but isn’t that their problem? We’ve been there for what 4 years now, and we’ve spent billions trying to teach them democracy. Its time they walked on their own.

This isn’t like Vietnam, where we were defending a democracy from invasion from a Communist dictatorship. Millions fled from communism.

If we leave, the Iraq government will have to defend itself, just like every other government.

This is not the Laura Ingraham I saw on Bill O’Reilly earlier this week.

Just factor in the "my president right or wrong" factor into your musings...
Those people seem to be everywhere.

I never realized that islam had such a major influence on the thinking process of America already...
