Sorry, but isn’t that their problem? We’ve been there for what 4 years now, and we’ve spent billions trying to teach them democracy. Its time they walked on their own.
This isn’t like Vietnam, where we were defending a democracy from invasion from a Communist dictatorship. Millions fled from communism.
If we leave, the Iraq government will have to defend itself, just like every other government.

It’s a lot like Vietnam:
invasion from ideological extremists (muslims), traitors within the body politic both here and there, ideological war, terrorism, heroes shackled by Geneva conventions in which one side abides by the rules, terrorists supported by neighboring like minded state (Iran and Saudis now - Soviet Union and China then)
No, since we invaded their country, publicly committed to help them, we now have an obligation to help them put it back together.
And I would argue that Iraq is at least as much of a democracy right now as South Vietnam ever was, maybe even more so.
